Description

A workshop where you can create a colourful and contemporary basket with a natural and unique driftwood handle. Either choose from my selection- or bring your own... We will start this basket in the traditional way with a round base and then insert the upsett. Starting next with a couple of sets of bottom waling, we then choose one of the randing patterns and then complete the basket with the top wale and asymmetric border. Lastly will be the addition of the handle secured with a Japanese knot and a good trimming off.

Maker

I started wyldwoodwillow back in 2001 after weaving for a year or so... It helped me through a particularly difficult chapter in my life and I discovered that I had a burning desire to share the healing nature of weaving. I started teaching workshops fairly early on and weaving pretty much anything I could, currently I weave baskets, coffins, living willow, sculptures and create furniture and decorative fencing for the home and garden. My business is successful and I am a full time weaver.
