Description
This is a great introduction to working with willow as we weave from a wooden base to create a beautiful woven round basket. Perfect to use as a storage basket, kindling basket or for a beautiful house plant. With or without a handle it is a great first basket. Learning trac borders, three rod wale and french randing, your basket will be functional and stylish. We work with different varieties and colours that are available at the time of your course. This basket workshop is ideal for beginners and we also cover where to source the materials and how to prepare them for use. We love teaching a variety of willow weaving courses in the beautiful Surrey Hills near Dorking. Basket making requires some strength in your fingers and hands and is not suitable if you suffer with arthritis.
What's included in the price?
All materials are included with a choice of handles, that we have collected and prepared for your basket. We do supply all tools needed for the course, but if you prefer to use your own secateurs please bring them along. Please bring your own food and cold drinks. Teas and coffees included.
