Neil Walton reviewed: Spoon carving and Whittling Day

"A super day of spoon carving with Colin and Sarah. A birthday gift from my son, we did the day at Harehope together. Excellent instruction from the start soon had us using the tools with a degree of confidence and really enjoying the process, the company and the surroundings. Colin and Sarah obviously have many years experience in teaching, guiding and gently steering you through the necessary processes in a very informative, safe and enjoyable way. They also have a lovely way of making the day quite meditative, relaxing and enriching. A lovely way to spend a day with my son and hopefully the start to another mindful and rewarding hobby in retirement."

The Wiggly Path Company responded:

"Thank you Neil We both had a splendid day with you and James and are glad you both had a nice time, it was lovely to work with you, as you both had an appreciation for what we are trying to accomplish at Harehope and an understanding of working with nature. You should both be very proud of the artefacts you created in the first few hours of your journey. We sincerely hope you take up this rewarding and additive hobby. Very best wishes Colin and Sarah "

Matt reviewed: Introduction to tapestry weaving

"I recently attended Sarah and Colin’s tapestry weaving course with my mum and dad, and we had a truly wonderful time. From start to finish, they made the experience enjoyable, informative, and engaging. Sarah and Colin are both incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their crafts, and their friendly, patient teaching style made it easy for us to learn. The course was well-structured, hands-on, and suitable for all skill levels, allowing us to create something we were really proud of. It was a fantastic way to spend the day together as a family, and I’d highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a creative and relaxing experience. Thank you, Sarah and Colin!"

The Wiggly Path Company responded:

"Thank you Matt. You and your family were a joy to teach and spend time with. It felt like you took to weaving like a duck to water. Lovely choice of colours, great tension and nice graphic designs to your frame loom tapestries. Now you know how to warp up and weave I hope you will enjoy doing more tapestries in the future together as a family. Take care very best wishes Sarah and Colin"

Mike Powell reviewed: Spoon carving and Whittling Day

"I attended this course at Harehope yesterday and can thoroughly recommend it. I arrived to a warm welcome and received expert and friendly tuition throughout the day. As a complete beginner I was delighted that I was able to come away with a complete and fully-finished hand-carved spoon. Amazing! I am now hooked and cannot wait to try my hand at some more whittling. Thank you Colin - you did a great job."

The Wiggly Path Company responded:

"Thank you Mike, you were great company and an ambitious learner, the result of your efforts were fantastic, considering it was your first foray into this skill set. We have to warn you that this craft can be quite addictive. But if we can be of any further help on your journey into the Whittling world then please don’t hesitate to reach out. Very best wishes for the future Colin and Sarah "
