"I had a great time doing this course. The tutor explained and demonstrated at a pace suitable for me, as it was my first time trying to make a wheel thrown pot. Within the time-frame I made 3 small pots which I chose to bring home on the day to dry but they offer to fire too My attempts were declared impressive by the tutor which all helps. "

"As complete novices, we really didn’t know what to expect from our one-hour course, let alone whether we’d have anything resembling a pot at the end of it! From the minute we arrived everyone was so warm and welcoming and set us at ease. We had so much fun! A step by step personal tutorial, with lots of help and guidance along the way, and there was our first pot 😀. Remembering what we’d been taught, we got to make a second pot on our own, but with help never far away when we needed it. Our pots won’t win any awards but we had so much fun, learned so much, and are so proud of them - can’t wait to go back for our glazing lesson once they’ve been fired. We can’t recommend The Crafty Potter highly enough, and will definitely be booking in on more classes! "

"What a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. The instruction was well-paced and easy to follow, we had a good giggle whilst sculpting and we are really excited to see how they turn out once fired. I'd highly recommend the course and I have a feeling we'll be going back to do more in the future!"

"Booked this course for my mom and 4 other family members to create some memories as my mom has terminal cancer. They all thoroughly enjoyed it and are already planning on coming back to have another go. Sharon was extremely helpful and most importantly, very patient. "Our tutor was lovely and took us through what to do then we had free time to do our own thing. It would have been beneficial for our tutor to stay with us as we still needed her guidance me in particular as one of our lovely items just needed our tutor to help finish it off and avoid a collapse."

"Hi Maria Thank you for your review. Our classes are designed to give you both tutored & time alone, so you can have a play and experience the wheel. During time by yourselves it is explained that we are around and shout us over as much as you need to. We always ensure that you get at least one pot of the wheel even if this means going over time, as we did for you on your visit. Unfortunately your last try was to wet to be saved, it all part of the fun when learning :)"

"I was bought the 1 hour potters wheel course as a present as it’s something I’ve always wanted to try but had never seen the opportunity to do so before, it was excellent. Hannah was a great instructor who put us at ease straight away. My 2 pots will certainly not be gracing any art galleries but I really enjoyed it anyway! "

"Due to matters 100% out of my control I was not able to attend (the weather) and they were unwilling to arrange any form of compensation for me ie refund reschedule etc so I deleted £70 from my bank account. "

Unfortunately short notice cancellations and reschedules are not a rare occurrence for us, and as much as we would genuinely love to honour requests as a small business, we can no longer sustain the losses these incur and had to put in place our strict cancellation policy. This you were aware of prior to booking. The weather warning did not say to avoid travelling, it was that there may be delays in your journey. The class went ahead as planned, with all other attendees and the class tutor being present, we are sorry you were unable to join us. Warmest regards sharon"

"Absolutely wonderful day, Sharon and the other ladies were lovely, I bought the day pottery experience for myself, mum and sister to do. It was our first time using clay and the potters wheel and doing anything like it, but Sharon was great in showing us what to do and gave us plenty of time on each activity so we didn't feel rushed. We made three items, (two on the wheel and one by hand) and then glazed a cup. Its a fabulous studio set within Heskin shopping village, which had lots of other little shops worth a visit too! We all are looking forward to returning to glaze the pots we made! Thank you so much xx "
