2 hr Potters Wheel Experience at The Crafty Potter

Hello, I'm sharon, an experienced ceramic sculpture & clay artist, and I regularly host fun & informal adult pottery sessions from my Pottery studio in the beautiful village of Heskin, Lancashire. The class is suitable for beginners and can be attended by up to 5 persons. The sessions run Tuesday-Saturday every week Sessions can be attended by adults 16 years and over. We start by showing you with assistance how to throw, centre and pull a pot. We make the first pot together step by step - you then get a second ball of clay and have time to practice by yourself. There is plenty of hands on support & verbal prompts throughout. The second hour is spent with some more tuition and some more clay to practice your throwing skills. After Your session your pots are taken home to air dry, they can then be painted with acrylics. OR you may decide you want to have them fired £3 per pot. You then have the option of returning to the studio for a glazing session 3 weeks later, 2hrs £15pp. with extra time & some more clay to add surface decoration to your creations. The Crafty Potter studio is based within Heskin shopping Village, a unique retail and leisure destination featuring over 40 unique shops and businesses, With free parking we’re a perfect destination for you to make a great fun day out.
