The Oast Studio was started in 2021, as the COVID restrictions came to an end and we realised there was a need and a demand for people to come and spend time crafting together. We paired together our love of food and sewing and The Oast Studio was created! We now offer over 80 different craft and sewing classes from Needle Felting & Basket Weaving to Sewing & Painting. With freshly baked treats at every class plus home cooked lunches at all our full day courses.
"The Oast is a lovely venue and well hosted with hot drinks and homemade treats on tap. 2 half days is good value and just long enough to grasp the basic techniques of copper foil stained glass, so thanks to the encouragement from our tutor I feel confident to practise at home."
"What a lovely experience at Oast studio. Annabelle took us step by step from making a willow ring and a heart to using the dried flowers to create a beautiful wreath. The choice of dried flowers was amazing with a wide variety of flowers and grasses.
Annabelle was a patient and knowledgeable instructor so all the participants made at least one complete and unique wreath.
As an added bonus we were served up the most delicious cakes and beverages made on site..wonderful!"
The Oast Studio responded:
"Hi Wendy,
Thank you so much for your lovely review, we are so pleased you enjoyed the class. Just so you know it was Fiona teaching and not Annabelle, who was busy upstairs teaching Lampshade making!
Hope to see you again some time."
"I loved this workshop and came away with the knowledge to create beautiful paper peonies. The teacher was friendly and informative. The setting for the workshop was in a stunning rural location, inside an old oast house, very picturesque. Delicious cakes and beverages were available made by the host. It was a lovely day out for me and I am delighted with my peonies, and am definitely going to make more at home now that I know the steps to create them."
The Oast Studio responded:
"Thank you Naomi, it was lovely to meet you and thank you for travelling so far! I wish you were nearer as I would love to have you teaching jewellery making at The Oast!
