I love sharing my enthusiasm for fusing glass and using my experience to help people make a few pieces they are proud to display at home! I have a small studio where I make my own glass jewellery to sell via shops and galleries and I can teach up to 6 people at the studio in Worcester. I prefer small groups so that I can give each person the individual attention they need to make their creations - I have plenty of examples for those stuck for ideas!
"We booked an introduction to pottery throwing and glass fusion as an anniversary outing and thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish! Instructions sent prior to the booking were clear and informative, particularly around the need to layer up and wear clothes you don't mind getting messy. Chris and Sarah were both welcoming and very supportive throughout the sessions, meaning we felt a great sense of accomplishment by the end. Can't wait to display our pieces to remind us of a lovely milestone!"
Sarah Greening Glass responded:
"It was great to be part of your celebration! Thank you"
"My daughter and I really enjoyed our glass fusing taster session. Sarah explained the process carefully and had lots of resources and inspiration for ideas which helped us to get the most out of the session. We were so happy with our finished pieces. Definitely recommend. "
Sarah Greening Glass responded:
"It was great to meet you both -pleased you like your finished pieces!"
"Four of us spent a fantastic day with Chris and Sarah after I had met them at Edgbaston artisan market and been given two vouchers for a special birthday.
In the morning we were delighted to find we would be working at the wheel and, with a few little mishaps, each of us managed to make three little pots, all completely different! Adding colour with the slip was fun. We can’t wait to see our creations when they have been fired. Chris was really patient and clear, showing us first then giving advice as we went along.
Meanwhile Sarah had prepared a fantastic lunch which we all had together, admiring all the beautiful pottery and glass.
The afternoon was spent in Sarah’s studio learning lots of techniques to make different kinds of glass decorations/pendants/coasters. Again she was a great teacher although it took us a bit longer to get our heads round it - so again she had to be patient with us. Her studio was an Aladdin’s cave of beautiful coloured glass and baubles. We loved it.
Before we left we were able to look at their little shop in the front room and all bought something to take home.
Overall we had a wonderful day and thought that it was good value for the whole experience. Best to wear old clothes for the pottery (some of us were messy although Chris gave us aprons). The directions and instructions were clear and communication before the course great. We were all new to both the pottery wheel and glass, so we learnt a great deal - and were all exhausted by the time we got home. We would all do it again and we can’t wait to go back to collect our creations. Thank you for a wonderful day. "
Sarah Greening Glass responded:
"Thank you so much for leaving such a comprehensive review - very much appreciated! Thanks, Sarah & Chris"
"Having just done a glass workshop with Sarah we would highly recommend it. We had such an enjoyable experience. It was fun as well as skills building. Sarah’s teaching and support was tailored to our ability, friendly and well prepared. There was choice about what to do and a range of easy and more difficult things to try. Sarah was always helpful and helped us to try things. All the safety about working with glass was clearly and well handled. We love the results of our learning, had a fabulous time, and we really want to do more."
Sarah Greening Glass responded:
"So pleased you both enjoyed the workshop and are pleased with your results! many thanks for leaving a review."
