"Booked this for my daughter and I as her birthday treat - and it really was a treat for both of us! Pat is knowledgeable, patient and personable and under her expert guidance we both managed to produce pots! It required concentration and more effort ( but manageable!) than we had expected. The icing on the cake for me was discovering that we had both lived in the same place, travelled on the same bus to the same grammar school! We had a nice afternoon chatting and exploring memory lane! "

"Booked the course for myself and my wife. What a very pleasant way to spend a special day, very relaxed, informative course and delivered professionally. Lots of time on the 2 wheels getting personal hands on training. We’d never done this before and yet by the end we were turning out respectable bowls and vases. Pat was brilliant never took over let you make mistakes and learn how to correct yourself, only when asked she would step in and with ease rescue your work. Well worth the money."

As an absolute beginner (I was given the voucher as a birthday present and thought it would be fun to try), Pat was very helpful and guided me through making a total of five pots, three of which I choose to keep as momentos. "I had been given the pottery experience for my birthday and was very excited about my time with the expert. It was absolutely amazing and I learned so much within the 2 hours. Pat was excellent in explaining the process in how to deal with the clay and how to operate the wheel, I felt very comfortable and relaxed. I am looking forward to picking up my creations to display them at home. I would encourage anyone to give it a go, it's just so much fun. Thank you so much. "

"Pat was a super teacher - very knowledgeable as well as being very personable. The two hours flew past with plenty of targeted tuition as well as encouragement to try new things as I progressed. I never felt under pressure but she always knew when to step in to put things back on track. A fantastic experience all round - I was even proud of what I'd made! Highly recommended."

"My wife and I spent a lovely couple of hours with Pat who was friendly, patient and encouraging. I have to admit that my wife probably produced more interesting results than I did ( don't tell her I said that), but we both enjoyed the process immensely and were amazed at how quickly we could produce a reasonable bowl. We are really looking forward to collecting our fired pieces in a few weeks time. The only downside is that some of Pat's beautiful work was on display, and I can see it costing me a fortune when Christmas comes along ;-)"

"Thoroughly enjoyable session. Pat is a great teacher. We had a good laugh and ended up with several pots that didn't go straight into the chuckit bucket! In the end we both bought a third pot in addition to the two included. Can't wait to see what they look like once they've been fired and glazed. I'd never used a wheel before, and my husband had had one go many years ago. We're definitely thinking of booking another session."

"I booked this course for my mum as a birthday gift. Pat was super friendly and really easy to chat to. She was great at showing/explaining what we were going to be doing! Pat was great at stepping in to support when things were going a bit wrong ( lots in my case!!). We managed to get some great pots made and we bought additional ones on top of the 2 you get to keep already. Looking forward to picking them up in a few weeks. "If you want to learn to throw on the potters wheel I fully recommend this class. Pat has so much knowledge and experience in ceramics and is a brilliant teacher. The two hour slot is perfect if you want a taste of throwing and the 1:1 tuition means you learn so much more than if you were in a class sharing with other people. Pats knowledge isn’t limited to throwing either. We got to talk about working with different clay bodies , glazing, exhibiting work and so much more. Such a good experience! "
