"Additional review of the One day Scrap Glass course : I also did the one day scrap glass course with Kate Billington this Autumn which I would also highly recommend. Kate is a great teacher, all materials are supplied and we managed to cram in all the techniques and steps leading to a completed scrap glass mosaic piece by the end of the day. It was a great way to utilise spare small stained glass pieces to make another beautiful object! "

"This was my first ever stained glass course, having been inspired to try this field from a previous mosaic glass course. I found this course to be excellent in building my skills from novice to having produced three pieces of work by the end of the course using the various techniques listed. It has been a great outlet for my creativity and I have found the lessons very enjoyable, a place where I can just switch off from the outside world and be in the creative zone for a few hours each week. All tools are supplied on the course and a thorough instruction is given in how to use them and any safety procedures to follow. The workshop is modern, purpose-built, well located with parking and accessible by public transport. Martin is a great instructor, offering good quality teaching, advice on all aspects including on my own end project and gave me good encouragement throughout the course which built my confidence further. I would not hesitate to recommend this course and I have already booked for my second course in 2023. "

"I had such a great time in this course, I genuinely looked forward to it every week and was great for me to take some time out of my hectic life and concentrate on something just for me. It really helped me with my mental health and gave me something to focus on. Martin is a knowledgeable and approachable teacher, I was comfortable from the start and he was always available for help if needed. His teaching style would suit all types of learners and everyone would benefit from this. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a new hobby or just taking some time for themselves. I have learnt some valuable skills and I have even continued to make stained glass art at home. Martin - thank you so much for bringing a calmness and confidence out in me I didn't know I had! "I started this course 15 months ago. I had never done stain glass or much art before. It is an amazing course which challenges a different aspect of my brain. I never thought I would achieve so much. Martin is an outstanding teacher and demonstrates the skills required and is always there to help. He also encourages one to improve with each course by suggesting how to do it oneself and create ownership of wonderful pieces of stained glass. It is an exciting hobby for anyone who wants to do something different . "

"I have been doing a weekly stained glass course with Martin, making leaded windows, which has been great. I was a complete beginner but feel I have made good progress and really enjoy the class. Martin is a very patient and encouraging teacher, and is always helpful. I really appreciate that if you have to miss a class, Martin will try and fit you in for another. I have also been on a 1 day Christmas decoration class with Kate, who is also a great teacher, and enjoyed doing the Tiffany technique again. "
