"I attended the stained glass workshop with Martin yesterday, and have to say it was superb. Martin is a very patient tutor, especially with those of us doing this for the first time. Instructions and guidance were kept simple and easy to follow. The group is small so Martin is able to provide one on one guidance on your item with tips on how to fix (if needed). I thought this was an excellent introduction to stained glass making, and I thoroughly enjoyed my day, even a little proud of what I was able to produce. "

"Lovely day learning basics of fused glass skills at a steady pace with great explanation and demonstration throughout. Lots of materials and equipment available and by the end of the day had produced a lot more pieces than I expected. Highly recommend, I will definitely book on more classes"

"So far I have completed two 10 week courses on a Monday afternoon and I just love it! Martin is an excellent tutor - his expertise and knowledge about glass is superb. "Update 2023: I have done several further weekly stained glass courses this year, this time with Kate Billington tutor, on Friday afternoons, which is more convenient time wise for me. Each course has been a new creative project, and thanks to the supportive help and expert advice from Kate, my knowledge and skills have grown in both tiffany and leaded glass techniques. I also did the one-day "painting on glass" course run by Martin in Oct, 2023 and found it most stimulating and interesting, allowing me to learn the new technique of painting on glass to supplement my existing skills. All materials were supplied, steps in the process were explained clearly, and by end of the workshop I had several completed pieces that I was pleased with as starter pieces. "

"This course was great! Kate was extremely friendly & knowledgeable, making the day one of creative fun! Refreshments were available throughout - with lunch having to be prebooked, on arrival, at the cafe on-site! Being a total beginner, I managed to come away with three Christmas decorations, to be proud of! I'll definitely be returning in the future to learn more!"

"There's no real reason to leave a review as such because Martin, I am sure, already has a good number of positive customer reports? Returning students/customers is always the best sign and certificate of something that's good - and there were a few in the room with me? But here I go : Martin takes you through the steps of the process, the methods, tricks and variations of painting on glass skilfully and efficiently. And, if you're unsure, well - that's not a problem as he will go over it again for you and make sure you're fine and ready to go and create. I was the only bloke in the room (obv. apart from the boss!) and he kept an eye on my progress just as much as the others and I did't feel out of place whatsoever as the vibe in the room was relaxed, cool and happy. The facilities are great and if you fancy a full on midday meal there's the restaurant above. I would thoroughly recommend this, and to be perfectly honest, any other course he gives as I am sure he runs those just as professionally. I was there again a few weeks later to collect my kilned pieces and the room was again full of creative and happy sounding people. "

"I was a terrified beginner, working with glass, cutting tools, snippers, grinding and soldering, gosh what a learning curve. BUT I did it, I enjoyed it, and went back for more. I'm still not very good, I think improving is the term, and Kate, the Friday afternoon tutor, has the patience of a saint with me, helping and advising. I've now made 7 post initial sample pieces, and am working on my next two."
