David Cooke reviewed: 1-to-1 tailored course with one of the UK's leading glass artists Jennifer Barker, at the Cheshire School of Glass

"An excellent course with a wonderful , knowlegable tutor. Jenny gives 100 %. You come away with a vast amout of work and so many ideas. I have bought a kiln and Jenny has guided me through doing everything , including picking the right kiln and what to use. Jenny made sure I understood the firing of glass thoroughly, so I didn't feel daunted when I fired it on my own. A really worthwhile experience."

Ian Little reviewed: Landscapes and seascapes at the Cheshire School of Glass

"As a teacher myself I felt compelled to write a review and say what an exceptional tutor Jenny is. She is a University Lecturer in Art and clearly knows what she is talking about. She created a warm and friendly atmosphere, whilst talking all students through how to create the varying depths of field in glass. Two other people admittedto having limited artistic ability. I must say each of us created incredible results through the guidance of an excellent teacher. We made both a Seascape and Landscape Piece. This is a wonderful course. The results really were astounding."

"I was gifted this course for my birthday. Steph ran the course. It was wonderful. She is really knowledgable, patient and great at explaining the process. I made a wonderful panel that is in pride of place in my hall window. I can't believe in the space of 2 days that I made such a work of art! It was all down to Stephs brilliant teaching."

Ann Hoare reviewed: Luxury Christmas decorations (full day) with the Cheshire School of Glass

"We had such a lovely day. Jenny was so kind and patient. I had never worked with glass before and was surprised how easy it was to cut. We made masses of decorations and the next day , after they had been cooked , Jenny had very kindly put beautiful hangings on the backs and ribbons to match. I found this very relaxing, which I never though glass work would be! I'm a amazed how fearless i became of the material. Good fun."

Samantha Critchley reviewed: 'Glass for the garden' with the Cheshire School of Glass

"I have never worked with glass before, so I wasn't sure if this course would be appropiate for me. I would encourage anyone who has no experience in glass or has had a go before to do this course. Jenny taught me to cut glass with ease , create original designs ( even though I can't draw! ) and learn how the fusing technique works. At the end of the course we were given a well made metal structure to hold our glass work."

Jacqueline Lawrence reviewed: Intermediate glass fusing at the Cheshire School of Glass

"An excellent two day course full of useful information, lots of handouts and plenty of high end materials to experiment with. Jenny catered for eveyone's previous experiences in glass. Some of us had done courses with Jenny before, some elsewhere. A good mix of technical theory and practical to really give you a grounding of glass fusing. We made a lot of quality pieces in two day. I felt we all really had our moneys worth. Fab course. I recommend it."

"This course was exceptional. Jenny is so warm and friendly, but even more importantly a true professional. If you have thought about setting up a business or just having a glass workshop Jen provides all the key information and skills to get you set up. I made a mountain of stuff as well. I thoroughly agree with a comment someone else has put... Jen is exceptionally generous with knowledge and materials. Graham Lawless"

Gill Rotter reviewed: Introduction to glass fusing at the Cheshire School of Glass

"A fabulous day with a highly skilled and technically brilliant teacher. Jenny is really generous and patient. A lovely warm welcoming atmosphere. I didn't want to leave at the end of the day! I came home with my head bursting with ideas. The only problem is, you want to go back and do more. Going to Jenny's studio is so relaxing and creative. Anyone creative would really enjoy this course. I considered the price when I booked it to be a little on the steep side. However, with what everyone makes, the technical knowledge acquired and the generosity of materials I would say this is amazing value for money."

"I did a 2 day mosaic course yesterday at the Cheshire School of Glass. I made a huge mosaic, having never worked with glass before. I learnt to cut glass in to any shape , grind glass , bond and grout all to a pattern I designed! I didn't even get my Art O'Level, but Jenny gives you the confidence to believe in yourself and achieve wonderful results."
