Anna S reviewed: Silver clay & silver smithing workshop in New Romney, Kent

"Very enjoyable course. All six of us on the course came away with great silver pieces. Yolanda was very good at explaining about silver clay and what to do whilst being entertaining too. John served up delicious food. Penny explained about silversmithing in the afternoon. However, as we were a full group with some fiddly items, it was best that she did the soldering. Both Yolanda and Penny worked hard to ensure we all took away great, fully finished jewellery at the end of the day! If I lived nearer, I'd be doing most of Yolanda's craft courses! "

Marian Aldridge reviewed: Robin: Wet Felting

"Absolutely lovely venue and teacher. Svetlana explained very thing in detail as I had never done felting before she needed a lot of patience with me. I was delighted with the result a lovely plump robin. All my own work can’t wait to do another course."

Penelope Ingham reviewed: One student - full day 6 hours , Welded Dragon fly . Introduction to artistic welding metal sculpture with Roger Russell

"This course was a Christmas present from my wife, and what a great day out it was too. Roger was infinitely patient with me, a total welding novice. We went through the different welding techniques, why and in what circumstances one should be used over the others, the various types of welder, including the safety aspects of each. Roger’s course is centred around the making of a dragon fly from scratch, which is a very clever way of using all techniques and equipment and have something to take home at the end of the day. Even if you don’t ever do anymore welding, you will have obtained a new skill and have had a great day out. As for myself, well my garden is in danger of being filled with hand made sculptures! Thanks Roger. "

Abigail reviewed: Natural skincare workshop

"Step into the world of herbal Magic with Terry – the lotion, potion, wizzard that will keep you feeling young (with the products and his playful teaching style). I loved the feeling of the cream and I have nickenamed it ‘eternal youth’ instead of anti-ageing. I have been glowing, with soft, silky skin and am excited to make my own, dread to think of it, when my supply runs out. But fear not, with the help of Terry’s wisodm, he has distilled his magic into a little spell book, aka, the workshop notes, which will help you consolidate your knowledge after the experince, help you to find the right ingredients and guides you to make your own. The lip balm has me ‘pucker’ ready and the body butter is dreamy. From the bottom of my poetic heart, I recomend Terry’s workshops. Love from Abigail – may you enjoy the magical experience of class xx"

Rebecca reviewed: Natural skincare workshop

"This workshop is amazing! I attended earlier this year and the creams are just wonderful. What makes it so special is that you can see exactly what goes in them and know that there is nothing nasty. I can also now make my own but prefer to be on the workshop as Terry is just the best teacher."

L T reviewed: Beginners DIY and Home Maintenance day course

"This was a good course to get to grips with the basics of DIY. I came away feeling more confident to tackle projects that have been needing attention. David is very enthusiastic and has a great way of delivering knowledge and teaching DIY skills. It would have been beneficial to have more practice time but I appreciate there was alot of ground to cover in one day. Thank you. "

Great British Woodshop responded:

"Hi LT Many thanks for the lovely review, and you're right, we do pack in a lot of different DIY skills in the day class to give you as much information and practical hands-on as possible in one day. We think it's the best use of your time and money to send you home empowered with knowledge and confidence, and leave the practice for you to do at home in your own time. As we always say, "Don't let learning lead to knowledge, let learning lead to action". Thanks for joining us on the day and look forward to saving hundreds of pounds doing those simple jobs yourself."
