"I spent three days on the course at Fransham Forge and I cannot praise it enough. Nigel was an excellent teacher ensuring that safety was paramount he made me feel very welcome and I learnt a great deal. I made several useful objects learning several different skills as I did so. I was then able to manufacture something's of my own choosing and by the end I felt like I had lots of new knowledge and skills. I also enjoyed staying in the shepherds hug on site, it was well kitted out and cosy."

Angela & Ron reviewed: Pembrokeshire Maddie Janes Mosaic

"We received a present of a two hour session with Maddie as a present from our son and daughter in law who had enjoyed a course last year. We had a fantastic time, first foray into crafting for my other half and something really different for me. Loved the pieces we made, Maddie was an excellent tutor and we plan to return next year to make something bigger. Highly recommended"

"Eva's glass workshops are simply wonderful. She is a superb, kind, patient, helpful and very knowledgeable glass teacher. I have been attending her workshops for around two years, and am thrilled to have made many beautiful glass icons under her expert guidance, and understanding, of design and materials. Highly recommended!"

Peter J Moss reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"I spent an excellent and very worthwhile day with Mark at his Pershore workshop. Having recently acquired a lathe, I needed instruction in all basic techniques. Mark is an excellent teacher - patient and thorough. The amount of information is considerable but the comprehensive course notes will be invaluable. Having done this 'crammer' course I feel a second day would be be very useful to hammer home (for me anyway) some of the primary tool handling techniques. I will be back to Mark in the near future."

Nick Poole reviewed: An introduction to wood turning with Gregory Moreton (2 Days)

"Absolutely brilliant! My friend took me along for a birthday present and from having no experience at all, Gregory's brilliant, friendly and expert tuition had me turning out a half-decent product by the end of the afternoon. A new experience, some new skills, a very pleasant day and something tangible to show for it. Definitely recommended!"

Ann Kennedy reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"The other reviews say it all! My husband and I spent a day and a half with Mark and had a great time coming away very proud of the bowls we had produced. Before the day I was a bit worried that this was a 'boy's' hobby and that I wouldn't have the strength needed but I was wrong. Mark is a very patient, thorough teacher who gives fantastic value for money - the day contained so much more than a standard training day."

Paula Burns reviewed: An introduction to wood turning with Gregory Moreton (2 Days)

"As a complete novice, this was an extremely worthwhile two days spent learning the art of wood turning. It was a thorough and packed with useful advice and I was surprised at how much how much I learnt in such a short time. I wasn't expecting the items I made to come out so well and even my friends were impressed with them."

Edwin Bowater reviewed: An introduction to wood turning with Gregory Moreton (2 Days)

"I did a two day beginner's course with my 12 year old son. We both had an excellent time. It was particularly pleasing that Greg made the course extremely hands-on, so that we were doing most of the work, rather than watching. We came out of the two day course with some lovely penguins, two spheres and two bowls! Definitely recommended"

andrew read reviewed: Wood turning tuition, New Forest, Hampshire (1 day, 1 person)

"One of the most memorable Sunday mornings I have ever had! Graham was an absolutely charming, humorous and welcoming host who allowed us to make a huge pile of wood shavings on his floor whilst simultaneously leading us on a path that led to our very own, turned and polished works of art. The atmosphere was so relaxing, it was like we were old friends who all had a love of wood turning, rather than two novices who barely knew what a lathe was. We never felt as if we were being taught or managed, we were merely gently guided and allowed to find our own way in this very hands-on experience. I cannot recommend this experience enough - it was simply lovely and wonderful, and both my wife and I are already planning when to return to see Graham and Chris again."

Julia Sherlock reviewed: Pembrokeshire Maddie Janes Mosaic

"I attended a workship with Maddie whilst on holiday. She very kindly fitted me in at short notice and i had a wonderful few hours away from the family doing something just for me. Maddie was helpful, encouraging and knowledgable. The experience was fab and I found Maddie had a great approach of being on hand to help when needed but able to quietly let me just work my way through. I created a mirror which I am very pleased with, I didnt think I still had it in ne. So thanks Maddie...I loved it. ☺Julia."

"Recently completed a two day course which was purchased as a birthday present. Had a fantastic time, made all the better by Nigel 's friendliness and his knowledge of how to work the metal and tutoring style. After having made a poker and bottle opener I then managed to make a bird bath. Thoroughly enjoyed the two days and would recommend it to anyone."

Dionne Ible reviewed: Mosaic one day workshop for adults with Caroline Jariwala, Birmingham

"I have been an admirer of Caroline's work for a couple of years and have always wanted to attend one of her workshops. When the opportunity final came I was both inspired and more than satisfied with what I learnt. As a mosaic artist myself it was lovely that Caroline was willing to share her tips of the trade and experiences. I learnt so much in what seemed only a short time there. Caroline is very well informed, helpful, patient and a lot of fun! I will no doubt I be attending again just to have some more of that homemade soup - oh and to do a bit of mosaicing ;o)"

Debra Stuart reviewed: Mosaic one day workshop for adults with Caroline Jariwala, Birmingham

"I have attended one of Caroline's small group workshops and had such an amazing time and learned so much that I booked a full day one-to-one session to help refine my new found skills. Whilst the group workshop was excellent, small group so we all got plenty of Caroline's attention, learned so many new things and creates to excellent pieces, the one-to-one session was worth every penny as I learned so much more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND"

Lynda Hance reviewed: Mosaic one day workshop for adults with Caroline Jariwala, Birmingham

"I have been on three of Caroline's one-day courses. She is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The class size is small enough to get a fair bit of individual help from her and she offers great instruction. You will get the most from a course if you go with some idea of what you would like to do."

"An absolutely brilliant experience. Ricky is a very patient person, and his calmness and confidence rubs off on you. Very thorough explanations and demonstrations make you want to do as well as you can so you don't let him down. I cannot wait to go back and try the more advanced techniques. I highly recommend this course. I've just read this back and I make it sound boring... It isn't, it's wonderful, great fun, and you should try it as soon as you can!!!"

Kevin Murden reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"I'm not one to review many thing, but I surprised my girlfriend to a day glassblowing course with Ricky and we were both blown away with how good it was. From the moment we arrived, Ricky was welcoming and got us stuck in from the get go. Ricky broke the processes down in a straight forward manner and made the entire experience a joy. We came away with several finished pieces which now sit on our desks/mantle pieces. The workshop is set in a gorgeous surrounding too, which was the icing on the cake! I can't recommend this course enough, if you have any creative flare or simply fancy trying something a little different."

Dave n Emma reviewed: Candle making workshops

"I'd recommend a candle-making workshop with Angharad. I arranged one with Angharad earlier in the year for me and my partner. The booking process was simple; I sent an initial email to Angharad enquiring about dates and she got back to me quickly with her availability. It was really helpful to receive suggestions for accommodation and things to do locally if you want to make the most of your time in that part of the country (which I'd also recommend). The session itself was a really informative and relaxed afternoon spent in Angharad's workshop. She explained the whole process, materials and techniques and helped us make different types of candles which we took home with us. That was at the end of May and since then we've made a good few candles, given some to friends and family and now navigate our way around the craft websites Angharad recommended to us when we were there. Give it a go!"
