Jane L. reviewed: 1-day patchwork & quilting workshops in Watford with Green Man Quilts

"My day of “free motion quilting” was enjoyable, informative and inspiring. Sheena has a great knack of sharing her knowledge in a humorous way. She encourages and motivates and gives tips and short-cuts to simplify tasks. The limited class size means that you get plenty of one-to-one time with Sheena as well as discussion and sharing ideas with the other students. I learned so much"

"I recently spent a lovely morning in Jane's company making a felt hare that I feel really proud of! Never having done this craft before I was a little apprehensive, but Jane put me at my ease immediately in her lovely cosy cottage kitchen, with tea and cakes! She is such a patient teacher and a lovely, warm lady and so easy to chat to that 4 hours just flew by. I will definitely be back again! Thank you Jane"

Helen Sargent reviewed: Bespoke candle making workshop - Edinburgh

"Awesome candle making workshop just finished at http://cantocandle.com/product-category/candle-making-workshops/ . Learnt loads and I made my own rhubarb and strawberry candle and my own blend of candle fragrance oil, almond and apple. Kerry lives in a lovely old stone school house in a beautiful village full of stone cottages. I had the company of 9 other ladies on the course around a massive country kitchen table. The teacher Kerry is lovely. Coffee on arrival and coffee and cake mid morning was a lovely treat and it was even gluten free cake so I could have it. My smell sense is so heightened after a morning of smelling so many different lovely candle fragrance oils and the act of making a candle is so relaxing and enjoyable. Kerry gave us all the information sheet to take away which was really helpful so I could just concentrate and enjoy the workshop without having to take notes. I would recommend this workshop to anyone."

Keith Kirby reviewed: Make a shave horse at Sallerton Wood

"I can’t speak highly enough of Andy and the courses run at Sallerton Wood. The entire ethos of the courses are very well thought out and and have real depth and harmony with the beautiful natural environment. Small class sizes enable Andy to easily transfer his enthusiasm and considerable knowledge to participants regardless of prior knowledge ensuring excellent value for money. I can’t wait for my next visit!"

Felicity Fulwood reviewed: Felt art -(wet felting )with Debra Esterhuizen, Appleby , Cumbria

"What a great class, had so much fun and learnt loads, Debra is so inspirational and very good at explaining things both in detail and with her hands on demonstrations. The studio is lovely I loved being able to see her creations and to touch and feel all the different types of materials you can use in this wonderful craft. I came away so inspired and wanting to try out more as soon as I could. I created two large pieces both of which I am extremely pleased with, and one I will use in another project. I look forward to coming back and learning even more. Anyone hesitant about booking or travelling a distance to this workshop - just do it. You won’t regret it."

Jess reviewed: Mosaic and Glass Art 2 day Course

"I can not recommend this course highly enough. It was wonderful! Have just enjoyed an inspiring weekend with Maggie and learned so much. Maggie is so generous with sharing her skills, her resources and her inspiration. She is passionate about what she does and goes the extra mile to enthuse and support others. The two day workshop ensured plenty time to learn and create on the first day, then master the art of grouting and finishing on the second day. I have come home with a wonderful piece - delighted and proud. Thank you for all the help Maggie. I can thoroughly recommend the workshop and will be returning for more."

Esther Grove reviewed: 2 Day Silver Jewellery Making Course - Ely

"I had a wonderful time on Jonathans’s two day course and would really recommend it to anyone considering this as an introduction to silversmithing. Jonathan is an excellent teacher and really patient to answer all my questions, giving just the right amount of support. I have left feeling confident in techniques and a good knowledge of choosing the right tools to invest in. We enjoyed homemade flapjacks and lovely lunches with plenty of fun and laughter too. I look forward to booking a further course with him."

Wendy Stafford reviewed: Blacksmithing Beginners day courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"Really enjoyed the day, the tuition and friendliness of Adrian and David and the lovely food provided by Debbie. It was hard work but worth every minute to learn the techniques and appreciate the skill of a Blacksmith in general. David's work is lovely anyway but his generocity in advice and help is really appreciated This was a gift from my son and daughter to help me appreciate the medium of metal and to help with my own business of glass by bringing the two mediums together. It certainly achieved that for me. I now feel better equiped to communicate with the metal worker about my requirements but I have also learnt a new skill which I would like to explore further, but perhaps not become a Blacksmith :-) Thank you Adrian, Debbie and David for the wonderful day."
