Megan reviewed: Upholstery classes at Sandra Fryer's Workshops

"I absolutely love Sandra’s courses! She’s so patient and understanding of all levels. I struggled to find anywhere local to have a go at upholstery and by chance stumbled across Sandra’s website, and I’m so glad I did! Very relaxed and the small group of 2 or 3 students is perfect as you never have to wait for help when you’re stuck. Definitely recommend this to anyone! A great release from an otherwise busy life!"

Barbara Harwood reviewed: Wire & mixed media sculpture courses with James Ort

"I’ve had a wonderful two days wire sculpting with James. He is a fabulous tutor with lots of enthusiasm and patience. The studio is very peaceful and relaxing it was especially lovely to see his hens wandering about too. This course has really inspired me especially seeing everyone’s creations too, we all did something different. I would definitely recommend this course and I will be back to do something else next year. Thankyou James."

The Phoenix Studio responded:

"Thanks for your lovely review Barbara! It was great to see you go on your creative journey and watch your confidence grow as the course went on! Hope you can come back soon x"

James & Jayne Widdowson reviewed: Two person 'Have a Bash' at Blacksmithing course in Shropshire

"Jayne and I visited Jacob on Thursday 31st October 2018. It was everything we hoped it would be. Proper forge. Proper nice bloke in Jacob. Nice and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy experiencing blacksmithing. Good fun and you do everything and use all the tools and techniques yourself. It's a great thing to do together too!"

Ellen Mulcrone reviewed: 1-Day Jewellery Making Silver Copper Workshop for 2 people

"I didn't know what to expect for this course as I had never done a one day jewellery workshop before, but I was totally blown away! Was such a lovely day. I felt very supported by Linda and despite the varying abilities within the group, Linda managed to provide personalised attention and help to each one of us. I could tell that Linda had put a lot of time and energy in to preparing for the workshop, everything moved along fluidly and if there was anything we were unsure about she would be quick to explain in an easy-to-understand manner. There was in general a great atmosphere and the addition of tea and biscuits which is always nice. The setting was also gorgeous, in an old brick circular tower with lots of light and clean space. I was encouraged to explore a new method and as a result I learnt new skills and came away with a piece that I was really happy with. I highly recommend these workshops. Both the full day and the half day. Would be a great gift for both those who have experience with jewellery making and those who have never tried it before."

Linda Sandeman Jewellery responded:

"Thank you so much. It was such a pleasure having you there. Your ring is amazing. One thing I love about teaching is seeing the student design a piece that I haven’t seen before and then work on it together to make it a reality. Had such fun with you all. x"

Sheila Hira reviewed: Half-Day Jewellery Making Workshop for 2

"We had a fantastic half day on Linda’s workshop last month. It was a birthday present from my friend who I came on the course with. Linda really made us feel very welcome. She was extremely encouraging and gave me the chance to make a wonderful pair of earrings that I thought I would never be able to create something so beautiful specially as I was a beginner. Can’t wait to go again. Thanks Linda for a great day. Look forward to coming to another workshop. x"

Linda Sandeman Jewellery responded:

"So pleased you enjoyed it! For someone who said they had no creativity id definitely say that is not the case. Your earrings are beautiful and I love the design. The contemporary ear wires really suit your design. Look forward to seeing you again. x"

Heidi Tucker reviewed: Can't crochet, won't crochet?

"A lovely half day learning Crochet with Yvonne. I had some basic knowledge so she taught all I needed to know about different yarn, stitches and most importantly, where I was going wrong. Other people on the course were on different levels but this was handled very well by Yvonne and everyone could learn at their own pace. Thank you :))"

Tasty Textiles responded:

"Thank you Heidi. Yvonne."

Joanne Jones reviewed: Copper Electroforming for jewellery - 2 day course in central London

"Hi All.. I have recently done the copper electro-forming course with Penny. I have been wanting to do it for some time and I finally found someone super talented to teach me. I did Pennys electro-forming 2 day course. I wanted to combine the course with my love of crystals which penny helped me with and she customised it to what I wanted to achieve. Penny is an amazing teacher and really recommend the course to anyone. No previous jewellery experience needed either :-). Penny has inspired me to start making jewellery with copper and crystals and I have began making a collection to sell on my instagram... Watch this space.. Thank you Penny x"

Penny Akester Jewellery responded:

"Thanks for the review! I'm so glad you enjoyed the weekend - can't wait to see what you create with it, do share lots of pics - good luck with all your ideas/plans!!"
