"I learned so much at the one day Learn to Carve Spoons course with Dave. I had carved about half a dozen spoons before the course, but really needed some proper instruction. Dave quickly got us all using an axe to shape out a butter spreader, which we then finished off using several knife techniques that he showed us. We then used the skills we had learned to make a spoon. At all times Dave kept us working safely, but we were able to work on our spreader or spoon at our own pace. Lots of lovely tea breaks kept us refreshed! I learned so much during the day in the yurt, and Dave's info-packed follow up email was much appreciated too. Thank you Dave, I hope to carry on improving and maybe see you at an improvers class one day!"

"I loved the workshop given by Adela. Fortunately (unfortunately) the others joining us had to cancel so I had a one-to-one which was brilliant, given I have never done mosaic before. Adela was very thorough in showing me how to work, explaining how tools work, the different types of mosaic etc - which was much appreciated. She left me to do my own thing, luckily I had examples of what she produced, but I just had to ask and she helped me. She is very friendly and approachable, I felt ever so comfortable despite being clueless and to top it off said I done a grand job! I recommend giving this class a go, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Thanks again Adela."

"This course was a great introduction to steam bending and also using some power tools. The boxes are useful and make great presents! Tom has a very deep and ongoing interest in woodworking and making things, so you pick a lot up from chatting and being shown various bits in the workshop, as well as from the actual course. It's also a great little venue, both the workshop and the urban farm it's part of. There's a shop just round the corner if you need a snack at some point during the evening."

"Had a lovely day creating the mosaics with Sally, her teaching style makes you feel that you can do anything. With her help and some input from the other lovely participants I made two mosaics that I was proud of. Plenty of drinks and biscuits to keep us going and we even got a chocolate snowman each! "The course has given me confidence around glass - cutting shaping foiling leading and assembling various designs. I have been instructed in the use of the specialised glass cutting bandsaw. Creative ideas are gained from observing work of other students as well as from Martin. The class has a light hearted jovial atmosphere and is fun to attend. Martin is always friendly and helpful and not only a good tutor but also happy to arrange alternative replacement sessions if for any reason it is not possible to attend all those that had been ‘booked’ Highly recommended, I look forward to continuing the course next year."

"As a beginner I found the course excellent with Martin taking us 3 beginners through the basic techniques via 2 projects. After these Martin guided us through our own projects. The class had a mixture of levels of skill which was good as I could chat to more advanced classmates about their projects. Martin was very good at sharing his time with everybody, plus he makes a good cup of tea! His classes are relaxed and friendly making learning easy"
