Helen Janice and Anne reviewed: From fleece to fibre 2-day spinning workshop

"We were all novices and had a great couple of days with Elaine teaching us all about spinning from fleece to fibre! Elaine is generous with her knowledge and patience. I feel ready to have a go and have already ordered a spinning wheel and various other bits and bobs - excited to take this further. Teas and coffees and lunch were great. Thank you Elaine (and Chris)"

Kathy reviewed: Lino cutting course - Laura Andrew Art Studio, Lincoln - Linocut lino printing

"Put quite simply - the course was inspiring. The studio is a really tactile and happening space and Laura conveys her expertise in a very natural and engaging way. There were so many special touches to the day - to list them all would be to spoil the surprise of attending one of Laura's workshops - which I wholeheartedly recommend should anyone reading wish to experience lino cutting and printing."

Jane Elms reviewed: French Polishing & Woodcare - 2 Day Beginners/Intermediate Workshop

"Absolutely brilliant! I didn't arrive at Ollie's peaceful and well-equipped workshop space thinking I would do French polishing, I originally signed up for the painted furniture course...but it was quickly decided that the cabinet I brought for renovation was too good to paint! Ollie is generous of spirit and knowledge, pragmatic and good humoured, a great tutor for my first foray into the world of woodcare. Couldn't have been a better intro. Sign up, you'll get so much out of it not least skills, tips, ideas and lots of inspiration."

Jane Elms reviewed: Contemporary Furniture Refinishing & Upcycling with Woodcare - 2 Day Workshop

"Wow, what a fantastic course! I got so much out of my two days, more than was on the course brief, essentially down to Ollie's passion and willingness to tailor and tweak the content to my needs and level of expertise. I learnt so much and have now got a beautifully restored and painted mirror to boot! The learning environment and teaching style were ideal for me - I like to explore and experiment, and just wanted to soak everything up, rather than be restricted to a definitive structure and timings. Ollie gives you the space and freedom, whilst keeping an eye on working towards an outcome, in a skilful and supportive way. It also helped that there were only 2 students, so lots of dedicated attention and time was amazingly refreshing and indulgent! Do the course, you won't regret it."

Peter Hales reviewed: Introduction to Green Wood Furniture Making - 2 Day Course in South Devon

"I attended in May 19. I highly recommend it for beginners and those with some knowledge of hand tools as well. Peter’s informal teaching style is very effective and he effortlessly unites his course members on a journey through the mysteries of green wood working. Therapeutic and calming, this course offers a complete introduction to the use of all the hand tools required for green wood working and delivers a beautiful hand-made product to take home and use as well. Just plain excellent."

Chris Turner reviewed: Welding course: Mig, Tig, Stick, with the Iron Lady - Bradwell Blacksmiths

"I have just completed this one day course and have to say it was the best best fun I have had in ages. It is a full on day, but as well as enjoying it for the totally hands on approach, I learnt so much in such a short space of time. Natalie has an infectious passion for her work that she passes on with a warm and easy manner. She is easy to work with and gets you doing work that seemed impossible beforehand. If you think you can't weld then Natalie will quickly prove you wrong. Many thanks Natalie for such a great experience! (TIG rules from now on)."

Margaret Thurlow reviewed: Craft Workshop: Learn to make silver art clay jewellery in a day (beginner)

"I couldn't believe at the start of day when Sally showed us examples of pieces we could do that a beginner could achieve it. But we did! The day was amazing; good company and Sally was happy to help and answer all our questions, guiding us to make our finished pieces. I would recommend this to anyone interested in silver clay and will be looking at further courses run by Sally in the future."

Q Lin reviewed: Two day leather bag making workshop

"I did a two day leather bag workshop with Rosanna and had a lovely experience! Her studio is easy to access with parking and there is a nice cafe in the courtyard. We started the day exploring different designs for my bag - Rosanna is very good at interpreting and visualising ideas with very practical and constructive comments. She helped me with measurements for pattern cutting which is an interesting step in connecting the 3d and 2d object. Making accessories on the bag was also very interesting, where Rosanna taught me how to choose and fit buckles, rivets and make the shoulder strap. She also taught me how to use the sewing machine on leather. I really appreciate all the problem solving effort from her to rescue the bag from my mistakes. I am very happy with my handmade bag and will visit her again in the future to make a second one with different design!"

Geraldine reviewed: Beginners needle felting workshop with Wobbly Pins

"This workshop was really well organised and loads of fun. I had never needle felted before and was a bit nervous about the equipment as well as whether I would actually be able to make anything recognisable. In spite of all my questions and constantly getting distracted by all the pretty materials, Jacqueline kept us all on track and let us all find our own way with just the right amount of support, being both patient and enthusiastic and encouraging. I am so delighted with the key ring I made...and can’t stop showing it to people with appropriate squeaking of “look I made this!”. Definitely want to do the block printing session in the future!"

Elysian Creativity and Wellbeing responded:

"Thank you , really glad you enjoyed your workshop!"

Mandy Twells reviewed: One day introduction to glass fusing in Medway, Kent

"I did this course a couple of months ago and had a fantastic time. Under Bev's tuition I was able to make a fabulous air balloon picture for a friend's nursery. I think I’m hooked as I’ve since done another class where I’ve made a great glass panel and have another two classes booked. If you are interested give it a go and explore your creativity, you’ll have a fabulous time."

Beverley Bunn Glass Art responded:

"Thank you so much for your review Mandy - you did a fabulous job on that hot air balloon! It's been great having you back for a 1:1 to make more projects and looking forward to the rest of your sessions - you'll be wanting your own kiln soon!!"

"I had so much fun on this course hosted and taught by Beverley at her studio. Bev was friendly and welcoming, gave clear and concise instructions, guiding myself and my son through the entire session. The best thing of all was my enormous stash of green vitrigraph stringers that I left with. I highly recommend this session. It’s definitely one I intend doing again."

"My mum and I attended Beverley's one day course. Neither of us had done any glass fusion courses before nor are we particularly arty. We both had a great time and were really pleased with the pieces we produced. Beverley is a lovely warm person and a great teacher. Sarah Elmer reviewed: Needle felting workshops taught live online by Heartfelt by Heidi

"I chose Heidi for a workshop to celebrate my 30th birthday with some friends, making some festive party sheep. The time flew by and we were all proud of the creations that we came away with. All of us were beginners in felting and feel confident that we could pursue it by ourselves at home if we wanted to. Heidi is absolutely lovely, friendly and so patient. None of us felt any worries or pressure. The instructions were very simple to follow and Heidi was happy to repeat them or give us individual support if we needed it. Throughout the lead up to the event, Heidi was very easy to get hold of via email and communicative throughout the entire process. I had no concerns about where to go on the day or payment details etc. I would definitely recommend her to friends or anyone looking for a fun and productive time together. You 100% get what you pay for and more!"

Heartfelt by Heidi responded:

"Thank you so much for your kind review and choosing me for your special birthday celebration. What a lovely group of ladies and baby Freddie of course, it was a pleasure to spend time with you all! I am so pleased you all enjoyed it so much and have had some wonderful feedback from some of your guests/friends too on Facebook, which brings me such reward. I very much hope you have been inspired to try felting again, alone or in a group, please feel free to get in touch if you ever need any advice or fancy another trip to the seaside ;) Heartfelt thanks Heidi x"

Donna Blakeway reviewed: Beginners crochet workshop

"I can't recommend the crochet course enough. I have always wanted to learn and many friends have tried to teach me but with no success. Jennie sat with us and very patiently went through step by step with every stitch. She was amazingly patient and gave lots of tips & reassurances when I went wrong. Jennie allowed us to practice at our own speed. Thank you so much, I am now finally able to do the basic crochet stitches and getting confident & practising. Can't wait to go back and learn more skills. The lunch is delicious & caters for all dietary needs. All the staff are lovely I'm sure I shall be a regular. This place is certainly a gem, thank you ?"

Jo Maclagan reviewed: Realistic and Adorable Needle Felt Animals & Pets

"I had a lovely day taking part in one of Sophie’s needle felting courses. It was my first time needle felting and Sophie has a great way of making you feel welcome and comfortable. She was sure we would all be able to produce an item that we could be proud of by the end of the day. And she was right. I was able, with lots of encouragement from Sophie to make a cat that does actually look like my cat Tipsy. Sophie takes you through all the techniques and processes, step by step. Adapting if need be to each persons individual project. I would definitely recommend Sophie’s felting courses to anyone wanting to give it a try. Overall, a fabulous day crafting and chatting to some lovely ladies on the course with me. Thanks Sophie."

"I attended the felting class and made a goldfinch on the 2nd June.
