Vicki Tolley reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"We spent a fabulous day yesterday at Jolene's workshop. Neither myself, my daughter or my mother had any experience of jewellery making and each came home with a beautiful piece of jewellery to wear. Jolene is a patient and enthusiastic tutor. Her workshop is cosy and welcoming and full of interesting pieces to give you inspiration to be creative. I would thoroughly recommend it. I'm ready to book in for my next workshop......earrings next time, I think."

Fiona Cox. reviewed: Introduction to yarn dyeing at Peak District Yarns

"A really enjoyable day. Carrie was a warm and kind person, who has created a beautiful space in which to pass on her knowledge. Although I went on my own, the other participants were all friendly. We learnt lots and had fun, ending up with some beautiful skeins which we had made all by ourselves. There was also the opportunity to look around Carrie's shop, and buy some of her lovely yarn."

Pine van den Berg reviewed: Introduction to yarn dyeing at Peak District Yarns

"It was a wonderful workshop, great fun to do and watch Carrie work. Carrie is a fantastic teacher and craftswoman. I learned a lot. Also I could buy in her shop everything for knitting my first ever socks with the wool I dyed and bought some beautiful wool dyed by Carrie. They turned out so great. I haven’t stopped knitting socks after that :-)"

Kate jenkins reviewed: Silver earrings workshop

"I can't remember if we have done two or 3 of these earring workshops with Jo but what I can tell you is we can't wait to do another! I bought the first earring course as a birthday present for my sister a few years ago. Instead of just buying jewellery I thought it would be special to actually make the jewellery and spend the day together learning something new. It was the best idea because we had such a brilliant memorable day filled with laughter and fun and came home with a handful of beautiful earrings that looked super professional. We did the earring workshop just before Christmas and gave some of our makes as presents that year- we both got, and continue to get, lovely comments about our earrings and people are always amazed when we say 'I made them'. We enjoyed the workshop so much we booked to do the spinner bracelet one with our mum soon after and the three of us have come back to do this earring one again. It has become one of our pre-Christmas traditions to spend the day making jewellery with Jo together. Jo is a brilliant teacher, calm, precise and makes learning a joy. She gently guides you through processes at your own pace, helps when you are struggling or pushes you to do something more complex when you need pushing out of your comfort zone. All in all I couldn't recommend Jo and her jewellery courses highly enough! If you are looking to start from scratch or expand your skills Jo's your gal!"

Joanne Tinley Jewellery responded:

"It is always so lovely to have you, Hannah and your mum along on the workshops! You and Hannah currently hold the record of 14 pairs of earrings each made on the Silver Earrings Workshop! Thank you for your lovely review. I look forward to welcoming you to the studio again!"

Kathryn Sear reviewed: An introduction to brush lettering

"I have wanted to do a lettering course for a couple of years now and I'm so glad that I went on this one with Suzie! She was so helpful and down to earth and I loved every second of it. The workshop went really quickly and didn't want it to end. I would love to do another workshop with Suzie if any other courses arose (such as Christmas themed or another themed event)."

Sandra reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"I really enjoyed my day with Lucy, I was both excited and apprehensive when I arrived but soon felt at ease. Having one to one tuition really gives you a feel for what you can do, it’s very much a day of watch a little then try it for yourself. I felt more confident as the day went on. I came away with what I feel is a lovely piece of jewellery and an urge to continue to do more. Thank you Lucy, I had a really enjoyable day."

Vicky & Robin Jones reviewed: 1-to-1 Mount cutting and effective presentation for painters and photographers

"The day was full on but very well structured and there was a lot of information to take in but Lynne was very clear and willing to go over things when we struggled to understand. Lynne was very patient especially with the maths and working out of the sizes of apertures we were cutting. We were both complete novices but came away with several mounts and a wealth of really useful information on equipment and tools Lynne has a wealth of experience and went beyond what was described on the course helping me to cut a multi-aperture mount and advising me on mounting cross stitch We would highly recommend this course."

Mark Lawmon reviewed: Christmas Pudding - needle felting workshop with The Lady Moth

"Booked a private, two-on-one workshop as a birthday present. Zenia was incredibly helpful and went out of her way during the booking process. The session was really fun and Zenia was very good at teaching complete novices. I feel like I've come away with a new skill and the most adorable baby penguin. Zenia also remembered from the booking that it was a birthday present and added some lovely personal touches which made the workshop feel really special. I would highly recommend needle felting with The Lady Moth to anyone interested in a craft course."

"I had a brilliant time on Hannah’s 1 day upcycling course. Hannah is so knowledgeable on furniture upcycling and had plenty of tips and tricks at hand to get the best out of our furniture. The venue was perfect and she had everything we could possibly need for the day, even snacks! Vanda Ward reviewed: Introduction to yarn dyeing at Peak District Yarns

"An absolutely brilliant day that my husband and I attended. All basics were covered, what was especially useful was learning how to ‘read’ skeins. Then the fun bit! Being let loose with all of those colours! We both dyed two skeins each and would have kept going if there was time! I’d love to do the next level up and even dye camp. I keep dropping hints...."

"I would highly recommend Angela’s course: it was a really enjoyable from beginning to end. Angela is a brilliant teacher - extremely knowledgable and flexible in approach, and allowed me to bring my own design to the session. I made two rings, using different methods, and learnt so much. And most importantly, I love the finished product. Thanks so much Angela! P.s - She also makes a lovely cuppa ?"
