Needle Felting Into Fabric (Optional Free-motion Machine Embroidery) Pocklington
Description
An exciting course on which you will have the opportunity to try one or two fabulous techniques. 10am - 1pm session - Needle felting onto fabric - you will learn how to needle felt a beautiful artwork onto fabric using a simple but highly effective needle and sponge technique. You can choose one of our images or bring your own to work from (7 inch diameter max). All materials and equipment are provided. This makes a fantastic standalone techniques and produces great results. 1pm - 4pm - If you choose to stay for the afternoon to try adding free-motion machine embroidery, we will show you how! You will be shown how to use the free-motion technique effectively to add beautiful embroidery to 2D felted artwork. Sewing machines and all materials/equipment provided. Please ensure you choose the correct ticket option when booking, see choice below: *Needle Felt 10am - 1pm (for those who want to book the morning only) £40 *N Felt & Freemotion 10am - 4pm (for those who want to try both needle felting into fabric followed by free-motion machine embroidery) £65 If you book the morning only session (needle felting) and wish to decide on the day whether to 'top up' you can choose to do so on the day. Just bring £25 cash, cheque or you can do a bank transfer. Some basic sewing experience would be desirable for this course, but not essential. We are happy to teach learners of all abilities and levels of experience, including beginners. Sewing machines are provided, although you are welcome to bring your own machine (if using your own machine, it must have the function to 'drop the feed dogs' and come with an appropriate darning foot. Please let us know at the time of booking if this is the case). Machines must be in good working order and have a recent PAT test certificate. Please bring a packed lunch. This is an adult course.
