An opportunity to make something from the Liz Emtage Porcelain Collection. No previous experience necessary. Have fun making a Porcelain gift for yourself or someone special in your life. Would you like to have a go at making one of Liz's porcelain pieces to give as a gift this Christmas? Fun for children and adults alike (children need to be accompanied by an adult). Come on your own or book with a group of friends. All materials are included in the cost. Each class on each day will be around 2 - 3 hours long depending on what you would like to make. Classes start at 11am & 2pm The cost starts at £110 to make a Vase / Night light / Cover pot / 2 Tiles / Porcelain picture / 4 Coasters / 2 Soap Dishes / Sushi dish / Frame / Mobile stand or something of your own design. To make your own Lamp or Pendant shade the prices start at £210.
What's included in the price?
On Saturday 23rd November you will make your porcelain gift using Liz’s porcelain clay and learning her techniques. You can bring your favourite textures and flowers to press into the clay, or help yourself from a selection provided. On Saturday 30th November you can come back and glaze your gift using a wide selection of glaze colours and learning Liz's glazing techniques. Your glazed vessel will then be fired again. Maker
Liz Emtage has been working with porcelain clay for over 20 years, graduating from Bath College in 1996. Liz is inspired by the beauty of the natural world - she uses foraged materials to create textures in her lighting and tile pieces. Liz has been teaching art since she was at secondary school at the end of the 1980's. She enjoys teaching different ages and abilities and loves helping people develop their creative potential.
