Introduction to basic sugar modelling - farmyard animals (beginners)
Description
Introduction to basic sugar modelling. Held in my home, these hands on, practical and fun basic sugar modelling sessions are aimed at beginners/those with little or no previous experience in sugar modelling. In this class we'll be making simple farmyard animal sugar models that are cute, fun to make and should make you smile! As we won't be making realistic, lifelike or detailed models there's no need to worry if you're not artistic. The class is 3 hours long, and in that time we'll make as many of the following models as time permits: sheep, pig (in 2 different poses), duck, cow and horse. Pictures for illustrative purposes only. Actual models made may vary from those shown. During the session you’ll learn: * How to colour and work with modelling paste and how it’s different from fondant as well as how to store your models. * How to make a number of simple models appropriate to the theme of the class you have chosen. Numbers are limited to a maximum of 4 so there's plenty of time for personal attention. The dates shown for this class are for afternoon sessions of 3 hrs in duration. If you can't see a date/time that suits you, please get in touch via the 'message the tutor' button.

Maker
I’m Helen, the owner of Avonside Cakery. As a mum of 3 now grown up daughters, I’ve been cooking and baking for years, and have run my own cake business since late 2016. The popularity of programmes such as GBBO and Extreme Bakers have reignited our love of baking but I frequently hear people saying they don't know where to start with the decoration - I'd like to help show that it's not complicated to achieve beautiful results - it just needs practice and patience.
