Description
A two day course, running on 28th of June and 23rd August, 2025. You will learn how to use a spinning wheel and a drop spindle. The course covers mechanics, co-ordination, drafting skills and plying. You will produce 2 bobbins of yarn over 2 days. You will learn how to use a Niddy Noddy and Skein Winder. At the end of day one, you will be lent a drop spindle on which to practise drafting and spinning which you will return on day two. The gap between the two days allows practise and/or the purchase of a spinning wheel which is not mandatory. If you should purchase your own spinning wheel please bring it with you on day two if you wish. Please bring with you a packed lunch and an apron.

FAQs
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own spinning wheel to the second half of the course. We will do our best to make sure that it is working and help you to use it if at all possible. Some wheels just need a little oil and a bit of persuasion!
