Description

Fused Glass Christmas Wreath- make your own glass wreath approx 220mm wide on this half--day workshop suitable for beginners. "A fantastic day, would highly recommend." - Maureen On this half-day mini workshop you'll make your own Christmas Wreath and learn a little about glass fusing along the way. You'll even learn some basic glass cutting skills! You'll be using fusible glass, coloured frit and glass you'll crush with a hammer to add texture and a 'frozen icicle' effect for your wreath. You'll start by cutting a number of glass shapes out of glass under our expert guidance. You'll then lay out the first layer, and build up the overlapping second layer to ensure a strong end result. Then it's time to add coloured glass frit and crushed clear glass if desired to create your own individual wreath art. After firing you'll be able to collect your wreath. You're now ready to enjoy your art at home! This class will give you a brief introduction to glass cutting, basic tack fusing, including the difference between the types of glass you can fuse with, and some of the essentials of kiln operation and is suitable for all levels, especially beginners. What attendees have said about our classes: "A great experience - fun and fulfilling." "Great balance, well presented, clear, patient " "Really enjoyable. Time flew by and the tutor was very helpful. "Friendly atmosphere and professional, the outcome was better than I thought I could achieve " "This is my third class and I can't wait for the next one..."
