Course content - Frida Kahlo Portrait - Work in permanent pen and use coloured inks to create a striking portrait.

Course content - Tropical Fish Study - Explore wet-on-wet techniques using Brusho ink crystals for a vibrant underwater scene.

Course content - Hazel Layle Inspired Street Scene - Layer paper, oil resist, and washes of colour to create a dynamic mixed-media composition.

Course content - Henri Matisse Inspired Open Window - Use acrylics to depict a unique view of your choice, inspired by Matisse’s Open Window, Collioure.

Course content - Aerial View Beach Scene - Experiment with viewpoints, scale, and intricate detail using watercolor and coloured pencils.

Description

Take your artistic skills to the next level with this 10-week Intermediate Art Course. Designed for those with some painting and drawing experience, this course will deepen your understanding of various techniques while inspiring your creativity through dynamic projects. This course starts on 16th May until 25 July, every Friday from 10am-1pm. There is a half term break (no class) on Friday 13th June. What You’ll Learn: Composition and building an art piece: Create interesting compositions, viewpoints, landscape, portraiture and still life works. Layering & colour theory: Build depth and dimension in your work while enhancing your understanding of colour relationships. Refine your painting and drawing techniques: Master the art of working with a wide variety of art materials. Combining detailed lines with expressive paint washes.

Everything you will need is provided. This includes all materials and tools, and handouts for educational purposes. You may bring an apron if you wish.
