Painting Workshops in West Pembrokeshire with Kate Freeman
Description
Held in my spacious converted barn studio, these small-group sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as artists who wish to paint in a more free, spontaneous way. Using water-based and acrylic media, I have developed a series of fun classes exploring fundamental aspects of making paintings. Mix and match TWO of these themes for a full day - COLOUR MIXING; MARK MAKING; EXPERIMENTAL TECHNIQUES. (Please refer to my previous listing for details about each of these themes.) Alternatively, choose the Composition workshop - COMPOSITION (includes colour mixing, mark making and collage) 10am - 5pm We spend the morning creating painted papers in a range of tones and textures, and sheets of experimental mark making. After lunch, we will build abstract compositions by cutting, tearing and glueing the painted papers. The advantage of this approach is the design flexibility afforded by collage. This session is a great way to sample the basic principles of Kate's painting workshops, and you will leave with a series of small collages that you will be proud to frame!
