"My sister and I did the 2 day course where we learned to paint, cut and lead glass with Jamal, whilst learning a bit about the famous Hardman Victorian glass studio where Jamal previously worked. It was a wonderful experience watching our panels gradually form in his tiny workshop. He was endlessly patient. Don’t worry if you can’t draw as of course you trace the picture through the glass and he has lots of beautiful old designs to use or inspire. Thankyou"

"Jamal's one day Stained Glass and Leading course was absolutely fantastic. I've always had an interest in stained glass. It was a really informative course and I found it incredibly interesting. Jamal is incredibly knowledgeable, experienced and patient. I was part of a course with two other people. The practical elements of the course were great. I learned all of the steps involved in producing a piece of stained glass and had a lovely little product I'd made over the course of the day to take home and display. I'd highly recommend the course. A fantastic experience if you have an interest in this area or just want to try something new. I had an interest without ever having had a go at it. I'm glad I did!"

"Recently took the 2 day leading course with Jamal. Really nice setup, just a couple of other students in his wonderful studio. We learned some interesting history and got to learn from a really enthusiastic, patient, professional and friendly working artist. The course is well paced and if you've never done any leading work before then this course is ideal. Jamal offered some fantastic tips and his seeing some of work is quite inspiring. Jamal is a fantastic find and I'd highly recommend him. Very talented artist and learned some great new techniques from a traditional stained glass artisan. "After a search around for stained glass courses I found Jamal's on here. A choice between 1, 2, 3 and 4 day long courses, so I went for the 4 day one. I'm glad I did. I learnt a lot in those four days, enough to be able to create a stained glass panel, and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The pace suited me, Jamal is very easy to listen to and demonstrates the various techniques well. I'd never tried stained glass before and was a little nervous beforehand but once there that went and the time flew by. I'd recommend his courses to anyone who wants to try something new or even refresh their skills."

"Just come back from a four-day workshop with Jamal, so glad now that I chose this over the one day course! Jamal took us through the process, step by step with useful hints as we went along. The course had the option of working on my own project or using a premade design, and Jamal was on hand to give advice on how to develop the piece when needed. Really enjoyed the week and would recommend it for both beginners and ‘experts’."

"Fabulous one day stained glass leading course with Jamal. He started the workshop by giving us a fascinating brief insight into his background and stained glass. He then explained the various steps involved in creating a stained glass panel after which we chose a design to make for ourselves. Jamal demonstrated each step as we were ready to do it and was always close to hand if help was needed. He is an excellent and enthusiastic teacher and his skill is inspirational. Jamal gave us a fascinating brief history of his experience (he does amazing stained glass work that is now on cruise ships, in cathedrals and in homes around the world), and then he demonstrated techniques step by step, so we were able to make our own bit of leaded glass. I now have the confidence to make a really big panel (I will aim for 39 inches by 52 inches) for our home."

"My friend and I had a really fun couple of days with Jamal in his home based workspace. We learned a little of his training and the process of stained glass window creation... then we got really hands on; choosing glass, cutting, leading and soldering all under Jamal expert easy going tuition. We had a laugh, got creative and produced wonderful little pieces that I’m so proud of it’s hanging in my conservatory catching the light. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we were made very welcome, educated and entertained, and it was wonderful to learn from such a talented artist. Highly recommended."
