"Yes, wonderful; 2 brilliant hosts, lovely students, lunch sensational, value for money unbelievable. Only problem (sorry) was going through the process in crib sheet doesn’t quite explain when to fold head and arms, but look at tartine book??? Cost doesn’t reflect the day, it should be more. Thank you both, know you love company but togetherness is best (so Pearl says) xxx"

"The sourdough baking day course with Ian (and Michael) is a superbly organised and fun day. The house ambience and gardens are beautiful, making the whole experience unique. Not to mention a gorgeous lunch that we share together. Ian approaches the learning with great enthusiasm and insight. His style is very engaging and personal and you feel immediately at ease. The practical aspects are communicated sympathetically; no one feels stranded or lost. The resulting breads that we make and bake are simply delicious. I wish I had taken this course years ago, the connection with the bread is so well unpacked and Ian takes us on a beautiful learning experience. I’ve no previous baking experience myself and I fully recommend the course if you want to learn afresh or expand your skills. Kudos to Ian for sharing his passion and skills."

"This was an absolutely brilliant course. I can’t recommend it enough. Ian and Michael were amazing hosts in their beautiful home and garden. We were made to feel so welcome. They were accommodating and interesting. We came away from the course completely inspired to make our sourdough bread and have shared it with our friends and family. It is tremendous value and a delicious lunch ( with our dietary requirements) was provided too. Feel so fortunate to have such a great experience. Thank you so much and we would love to come again. "An absolutely wonderful day, Ian and Michael welcomed everyone to their lovely home with coffee or tea. Introductions, then into the kitchen to start learning how to bake with sour dough. Ian is an excellent tutor, very informative, humorous and patient. He took us through the process of preparing and baking focaccia, rye bread and a sour dough boule which we cooked at home. A gorgeous lunch was provided and we left equipped with baking goodies and excellent instructions. I would thoroughly recommend this course to people of any age, it is also excellent value for money. "

"Fantastic day on the Beginners Sourdough course with Ian last Friday. We were made to feel super welcome right from the outset which set a great tone for the day. Leant how to make 3 loaves in small class surroundings. Delish lunch and cake to top off an excellent value for money day. I have used the sourdough and basket today to make my first sourdough loaf since, instructions given were easy to follow and am certain my loaf will be just as good as the one I made with Ian. I thoroughly rec trying this, laughs and learning rolled into one."

"I recently had the pleasure of attending a breadmaking course run by Ian and Michael, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived at their beautiful home, I knew I was in for a treat. The setting alone made the experience so special—an inviting, cosy atmosphere that made you feel right at home. They are both incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about baking and we were through every step of the process with ease, explaining the science behind the ingredients and techniques. An absolute highlight of the day was lunch! Not only did we get to enjoy a spread of freshly baked bread, but they had prepared a feast that perfectly complemented the bread and had me going back for seconds and thirds! Ian and Michael were incredible hosts, and their love for baking truly shone through. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned baker, this course is a fantastic way to learn and enjoy the craft of baking. Oh, and don’t forget to give their dogs some love—they’re as wonderful as the bread!"
