"My husband bought this 1 day fused glass class for Christmas for my daughter Becky and myself. Both of us had a brilliant time and I would recommend it to anyone interested in trying something new as a hobby. We both had no past experience and were a little nervous to begin with. Martin put us both at ease. He had a brilliant way of teaching whilst at the same time allowing us to find our own individual style. The class sizes were just right and before we knew it we were chatting with others and enjoying sharing our ideas and achievements. The time flew by. "This was my second fused glass workshop as I was hoping to build on the experiences gained in the first one and it didn't disappoint. A completely absorbing day, Martin is an excellent tutor and always sensitive to each individual's needs. The atmosphere was always relaxed and nonthreatening and everyone was encouraged to develop their ideas and Martin was quick to give further explanations and help when necessary. The course itself is well structured with three separate projects (the third being your own design), the studio is modern and well equipped, and Martin is an excellent teacher. "I attended this course with my 16 year old daughter and we totally enjoyed it. It had a lovely relaxed atmosphere but we learnt so much and are totally hooked! I've signed up for another course and have lots of projects I can't wait to get on with, with the reassurance that I have expert help to hand when I get stuck. All the students on our course ended up making very impressive, professional looking, final pieces. I can highly recommend it!"

"This is my third year doing Martin's course. I did a large Tiffany piece earlier in the year and managed to damage about 20 of the glass pieces. So this term I have spent learning restoration skills and have thoroughly enjoyed it. My overall skills with stained glass have improved and I understand a lot more about the process. Both Martin and Kate are excellent teachers and very patient. I can't recommend them highly enough."

"Attended the Wednesday morning course consisting of ten weeks. This was my third course with Martin and this time I wanted to push myself with a leaded glass window. Martin is able to get round the small group giving advice and demonstrating techniques to build up you knowledge of stained glass art. I cannot praise Martin enough for the way he builds up your skill levels through structured projects before assisting you with your first design. If you are interested in giving stained glass a try, contact Martin you will soon be hooked."

"Martin's fused glass one day class for Christmas Decoration's was my first foray into fused glass and what an excellent introduction it was. Martin not only knows his stuff but knows exactly how to teach it to others which is a very important consideration when booking a class which initially looks a little on the expensive side. You certainly get value for money on this course because you come away with so many decorations. I would say I was "middle of the road" in this class making 22 in total ranging from snowmen, christmas trees, penguins, santa's and toy soldiers - some made more, others less. Martin's teaching style was impeccable - clear, concise and very patient. The day was meticulously planned out with demonstrations each hour and templates but, it was not rigid and had plenty of scope for you to "do your own thing". I must give special thanks to him to accommodate a few difficulties I was having due to arthritis by finding different scoring implements to assist. I simply would not hesitate to recommend this course to anyone. A thoroughly enjoyable day and I certain will be coming again next year."

"I had taken part in Martin's stained glass courses some years ago and thoroughly enjoyed them. Fused glass seemed a slightly different course to try. I was bought it as a Christmas present and really enjoyed attending Martin's new premises. It is well equipped, plenty of space, everything you want to complete the tasks and a very relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of drinks available all day and cakes supplied by Martin at lunchtime!! I thoroughly enjoyed it and would thoroughly recommend any of Martin's courses. He is an excellent tutor. Thank you"

"Had a great time making Christmas decorations with Martin! We all managed to make a lot more items than we'd perhaps imagined before the course. I'd never done any glass workshops before, but Martin explained all the basics needed to get started and was always there to help if any of us got stuck. There was also a steady supply of tea, coffee and even some sweets and mince pies. Already planning to go back to do one of the Traditional Stained Glass or Tiffany Stained Glass workshops!"

"As a complete beginner to working with glass I thought the course was relaxed (deceptively so, as we made lots of Xmas decs ), interesting and very informative !
