"This Day Course was an excellent introduction to creating an item in glass. Matt was an excellent teacher and he packed such a lot in the time available but on reflection it seemed a relaxed day! I came away knowing the basics which will be so helpful if I work with glass again but it is best to go with a specific idea of what you would like to make and in what format. Matt was very attentive to everyone whatever they were making and however much assistance they needed. I would certainly recommend the course to others."

"The Sunday workshop was a birthday present and not having any previous experience I was a little apprehensive. But Matt was most helpful and explained the whole process. Matt was always circulating among the group and helped over little difficulties. The day flew by and I managed to produce my little work of art. Will definitely do another day."

"I had a specific project in mind, to make a stained glass window for a panel of glass on our stairs. Matt was so helpful in the whole process, visiting the house to help with practical ideas/colours. Then it was my birthday present from family to attend the course to actually make it. I was a little nervous having never done anything like it before, but learnt lots about working with glass, and have created a unique piece of art for my home. Matt is a great teacher. It was a long day, but well worth it. Would recommend to anyone. It really helped me on the day to have a specific project/plan/idea."

"What a great way to spend a Sunday, the day just flew, Matt taught us all we needed to know to create a glass piece from our own design, I really look forward to joining him again for another workshop. "OMG what a course, what a day and what a fantastic stained glass design that we walked away with. From the very first contact made in booking the course to the last box of tools that we carried downstairs for him on the day itself this was a complete joy. Payment was easy, booking was easy and working within a classroom environment was made easy by Matthews professionalism and passion. Delivered in a friendly and personable style that encouraged me to believe that were I to attend again that I would be capable of designing and making one of those massive windows in Wells Cathedral. My partner and I designed and both worked on a large and complex design but others in the group went for a more simple design. Both looked absolutely fabulous. Come on folks find your creativity (let Matthew encourage even more creativity than you could have imagined) find a suitable day and have the best fun ever. 5 stars every time"

"This stained glass making day was bought for me as a present. It exceeded all my expectations and I had the most brilliant day. Matt is an excellent teacher so that processes which might at first seem daunting we were all able to take in our stride. All on my course were able to produce stained glass pieces which were beyond our hopes and expectations and there was a huge sense of achievement at being creative in a new way. "I’d tried making mosaics previously but my glass cutting was abysmal. It’s so much easier with the right teacher and tools! I’ve done 3 of these days now and each time Matt has been brilliant. He will help you develop a design beforehand if you contact him and I’d recommend doing that as the day feels like it goes very quickly. He brings a lovely selection of glass and you can learn a range of techniques dependant on your chosen project. Careful though, you might get hooked!"

"Having already dipped my toe into the stained glass water, I came to the class with 2 techniques I wanted to master and left knowing so much more. 2 terms of evening classes had taught me the confidence to cut glass and copper foil it, but even the tuition about cutting on Matt's course was valuable as I learned new techniques and improved my speed and confidence. I feel ready to try came work now as well. Matt is very patient and clearly has a passion for this type of work. His enthusiasm is infectious and I only wish I lived nearer to attend again. Handouts supplied after the course were an unexpected and helpful addition. "Great course and tutor. Matt gently introduces you into the world of stained glass, including the various techniques available, for you to produce a unique piece of work. He tailors the pace to the course members and before long, after making a few tentative cuts into practice pieces of glass, you are creating all sorts of shapes with confidence. He provides all the required tools and an amazing array of stained glass for you to use and be inspired by. I attended the course in Frome, and had discussed with Matt (via email) what I wished to produce prior to the course taking place. Where possible I would recommend this as while 7 hours is enough to produce your piece of work, the time goes by so quickly. I would fully recommend this course. Matt is very approachable, and as well as providing all the practical knowledge, he is very patient giving encouragement, advice and assistance."
