Over the past 14 years I have explored enamelling through experimentation. After first being introduced to it by my mum, who packed me off to Nottinghamshire with a kiln and a box of enamel powders. I then became mainly self taught through embracing the freedom of the kiln.
I’ve expanded on that first box of enamel powders, and now bring in many techniques to my pieces and my teaching.
"Fabulous course. Great studio. Well explained information.
Made a lovely pendant in one type of enamelling and made an enamelled picture using a different type of method.
Thoroughly enjoyed the course can’t wait to do another one."
Katie Sanderson, enamel artist responded:
"Thank you so much Julia, look forward to seeing you on another workshop soon."
"I had a lovely day! A very peaceful, creative day learning how do enamelling. The small group of 3 meant we had Katie’s full attention and she was quietly making sure we achieved several things to be proud of and guided us safely when using the furnace. "
Katie Sanderson, enamel artist responded:
"Hi Melanie,
Thank you so much for your kind review. I hope you come back to do more enamelling with me.
Many thanks
Katie"
"We had a fabulous day. Katie is an amazing teacher, and very patient. We made a lot of beautiful things. It was all very achievable and even with limited talent (!) we were super pleased with what we made. Good value for money, satisfying and enjoyable workshop. Highly recommend."
"This was an excellent morning and I achieved two nice pieces of jewellery in the time. Katie's tuition was friendly and helpful. I would cheerfully do this course again."
