"A lovely way to spend the day, location was great. Nick is very knowledgable and I did manage to take my camera off auto setting, managing to change shutter speed. The day has given me confidence to try changing other settings when I work out how! I would have liked more than 3 minutes of 1:1 time, maybe Nick could allocate a time slot to spend with each participant? Unfortunately we missed both otter feedings and I am yet to receive the copy of the powerpoint presentation we were promised. "

"Wow! What joy is buttering toast with a knife you carved yourself in 2 relaxing hours. It may look a tiny bit 'first time' but I think it is beautiful. Wait till you see my next one.. excellent class. "

"This was a lovely evening learning about the origin and technique of Sashiko . As with all these things they look simple until you try them but with Suzanne's gentle guidance we were all able to come away with a lavender bag ,a Sashiko needle and a needle threader and lots of inspiration to continue .."

"Amazing! Best thing I've done in years. I have a severe mental illness and this was the first outing I've done alone in almost 3 years. I felt so welcome and comfortable. I didn't feel rushed in doing this book. I was able to really focus on getting it right and I could (and did) ask as many questions as I wanted. There was a wonderful selection of paper for the book cover and string for the binding so we didn't have to compromise on our first choices. Mylyn, the teacher, is wonderful, very welcoming and friendly with endless patience, has a wonderful teaching style and was great at helping too. Mylyn helps and talks you through a bit you are stuck on or undoes a tricky knot you make but doesn't do it for you which is the best way to learn. Mylyn provides templates for every stage which are wonderfully helpful. By the end of the course I felt tired, proud and confident to try this at home with the notes I made during class, and the detailed notes sent to us by Mylyn along with an email with very helpful links for supplies. Already booked for both classes this weekend. Thank you so much."

"Hello, really enjoyed the Japanese stitching on Saturday. Very informative and generous with the samples to practice with. Great location - so nice to have parking. Lovely refreshments too. It was a really good balance of allowing us to get on with things and being available for guidance and help to go our own way with the skill we were learning."

"Hi, I really enjoyed the Zen Doodle. The location was great and the room really good. I didn't mind the room at all or the other group doing their activity but being a "Zen" class I did wonder whether a quieter environment with some gentle music/meditation music in the background would have been good. A little more time could have been spent on the introductory breathing/clearing your headspace and setting out the meaning of "Zen". A little tuition as to the types of shapes and rather than filling in a pre prepared outline encouraging people to create their own. "

"As a beginner, this course was perfect for me. It was easy to book with Craft Courses and Ann from Handmade Workshops immediately emailed me with information regarding the course and the day, travel options and parking facilities, which, as I was coming from some distance, was very helpful. There were six of us on the course and we were made very welcome on arrival. Each of us had our own packs containing everything needed to complete the embroidery, including hoops, silks, needles and very comprehensive instructions for use at home, including Utube links to help reinforce what we had learnt. The tutor, Katherine, was very friendly, skilled and enthusiastic and made us all feel at ease, whatever our experience. She not only demonstrated to us as a group but gave us individual attention as required too. Ann and Catherine from Handmade Workshops were very attentive and supplied us all with tea/coffee and delicious homemade cakes which all went to making the morning most enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this course and look forward to attending another course from the many on offer at Handmade Workshops."

"I had an absolutely wonderful time. Plenty of fabric to choose from. Yummy homemade cakes and coffee. Very professionally organised and Anne was on hand all the time for any questions. My Christmas wreath is beautiful, so easy to make and it looks amazing. I went with my daughter and had a lovely afternoon. The wreath definitely will take pride of place in my house at Christmas."
