"As a novice felt maker I had no idea what I would be able to produce during a one day course with Barbara. I completed two pictures which I am so pleased with, one I will frame and keep and the other is going to be made into a cushion cover as a Christmas gift. Barbara was really informative, showing me and a friend the techniques we needed but very hands off so we really had completed our own felt designs. She was always there to encourage us and to show us other techniques we could use to improve our designs. With four people and three different ability felters making completely different products Barbara provided just the right amount of help and support for every one throughout the day.The lunch provided was great too. I am definitely going to felt again, many thanks Barbara."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my day with two other ladies making a Nuno felt scarf. Barbara was a superb teacher, explaining each step clearly with a great level of knowledge and skill. It was all very relaxed and enjoyable, and I left the day fully inspired to continue with this craft and even try out batik on another course (to be booked with Barbara of course!)."

"After completing an introduction to batik workshop and liking the technique so much, I went back again to do a full day's workshop. All the materials and equipment were supplied, and lots of useful hints and tips given. I was delighted with the result that and it is now framed and hanging on my lounge wall. I can highly recommend this course."

"Despite slight anxiety about train delays I arrived just in time and everything was very relaxed. All new to me so I was really interested to find out how felting was done and how much energy it took! A lovely experience. Lunch was just right and the day went so fast. Barbara is a great host and has lots of tips and skills to pass on. A really enjoyable experience. Loved the tactileness of it all."

We received a warm welcome alongside tea and biscuits to settle and whilst we considered the focus of our project for the day, then lunch and cake as the day went on kept our energy up for all that wet felting! Barbara’s style of teaching was clear, informative and supportive, whilst informal and easy going. Enjoyed every minute!"
