Elizabeth D reviewed: Create gem-inspired stones: polymer clay workshop

"I had a wonderful day with Elizabeth making a beautiful pendant and a separate bead necklace. Elizabeth had created some beautiful clay colours ahead of the course to match my signature colour. She showed me how to blend the clay to get the exact shade I wanted and how to add a gold fleck effect. She answered all my questions about baking, buffing and varnishing the beads. Elizabeth also had plenty of examples of necklaces she had already made, and bead shapes that could be created, so it was easy to choose my own design. She also provided tips on stringing the necklace with the beads and accompanying readymade gold accents. Everything from how to stop the beads falling off the string to finishing the clasp was explained. I ended up with a beautiful claret bead necklace and a similar coloured pendant that I am proud to have made and love wearing. Elizabeth was also a generous host and working in her home studio was a delight. It was a brilliant experience. "

Elizabeth Sadler Jewellery responded:

"Thank you for your kind words. I really enjoyed helping you create some gorgeous coloured beads and a beautiful pendant and necklace. It was a pleasure to meet you and to have such a lot of fun. "

"A really interesting course in a beautiful setting. Elizabeth is a good, patient teacher, very enthusiastic and full of ideas with lots of samples for ideas. Nice to be in a small class as able to give each person lots of attention and help where needed. Plenty of refreshments throughout and delicious lunch. My first time working with the clay and I made a beautiful necklace that I shall be proud to wear as it looks so professional. Have already ordered some clay to try it at home!!"

Elizabeth Sadler Jewellery responded:

"I'm so pleased you enjoyed the workshop and that you are going to carry on with more clay projects at home. The 'purple jasper' necklace you made is stunning. Well done you!"

"My sister and I attended Elizabeth's course yesterday and had a really enjoyable day. Liz is a warm, knowledgeable and inspirational teacher, the course is held in the workshop looking out onto the garden of her beautiful home and there were plenty of refreshments provided (courtesy of Liz’s husband, Robin) - we couldn’t have asked for a better day. Most importantly, we both came away, having started the day as complete beginners, with necklaces and pendants that we have been proud to show off. Highly recommended!"

Elizabeth Sadler Jewellery responded:

"Thank you so much, Debbie, for your kind words. It was great fun to meet you and show you the wonders of polymer clay. I loved the beautiful necklace you made."
