"Can’t think of a nicer way to spend a Thursday than in the company of the lovely and highly skilled Debra! Just myself and one other, which made for a very special experience and lots of individual attention. Debra is very inspirational and encouraging and I was pretty amazed at what I took home with me at the end of the day. So yesterday it was a scarf, but the other options are endless and I will definitely be back before long! "

"A joyful week in restful surroundings, which allowed for creative thinking, doing & being! Debra has a friendly approach & natural ability to share her felting skills at a pace to meet the needs of individual participants. The wild abandon out of the box thinking activity was an interesting experience that I enjoyed. The meals were wholesome & a lovely introduction to the local regional cuisine. My achievement of the week was leaving with a beautiful felted silk scarf and connecting with some inspiring & talented women. ??"

"What a wonderful week we had in the Alps, Debra is very friendly and easy to get along with, the course is well structured with lots of felting, meditation if you wish, a couple of hours free time in the afternoon and delicious meals. We had a day out at the local market and surrounding area and we went out for a meal one night. The Nordic tub at sunrise and sunset was popular too!! A lovely holiday."

"A lovely venue high up in the Alps, good food, excellent tutor, and learned many new techniques. Debra had moved the contents of her studio to France for the holiday and we had a very good choice of wool, sari silk and other items to make unique items. The pace over the week was good with some free time every afternoon and trips out to see the surrounding countryside. The mindfulness sessions led by Debra for those who wished to attend each morning before breakfast were an added bonus."

"What a great class, had so much fun and learnt loads, Debra is so inspirational and very good at explaining things both in detail and with her hands on demonstrations. The studio is lovely I loved being able to see her creations and to touch and feel all the different types of materials you can use in this wonderful craft. I came away so inspired and wanting to try out more as soon as I could. I created two large pieces both of which I am extremely pleased with, and one I will use in another project. I look forward to coming back and learning even more. Anyone hesitant about booking or travelling a distance to this workshop - just do it. You won’t regret it."

"I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. I learnt so much about wool and felting as well as how colours work. Debra was so generous in the amount of different types of materials we used. We each made 2 large pieces of work, encouraging our individual creativity and interests, rather than trying to recreate a previous work. Debra demonstrated and guided us to explore and experiment. "I highly recommend Debra's workshop She is a wonderful teacher, who encourages your own creativity whilst sharing her knowledge and experience of felting. I loved the calm Debra creates in her studio, which is an Alladins cave of beautiful wools and silks, which Debra has sourced, and with her art work the walls. All of which for me, made the class even more enjoyable as I was able to relax, which aids my learning. I made a lovely pair of slippers which I love to wear, and thanks to Debra's fabulous teaching have been able to go on to make two more pairs at home. I have had felting supplies for a while, but wasn't confident enough to give it a go, but think I will be making many more. Thank you Debra, and hope to see you again on another of your wonderful workshops."

"I loved this course... Debra is a very friendly, helpful, calm and wonderfully creative teacher. Her beautiful studio offers a wonderfully colourful and nourishing space in which time enjoy hours of crafting, with lots of materials and felts to choose from and explore. The Appleby Hub is a lovely community centre to discover, with delicious cake and lots of books to mull over in the lunch break. I highlight recommend this class, not only for the slippers but for the pleasure of sharing time and ideas with a wonderful teacher in a creative studio. I'm now seeking further opportunities to felt and also go back for another course!"
