June Barker reviewed: One inspiring day of mono printing from nature in artists studio near York

"I attended an extension of the collagraph course - I felt I needed a push onto the next level and boy was I pushed. Emily's motto when asked "what will happen if" was always " lets try it" and that gave me the confidence to open my mind to the " What If" syndrome and not to be frightened of trying new things. I left with a large amount of prints , a feeling of a new thing learnt and I had a great day with an excellent and very friendly tutor. I feel more courses coming on!!!"

Jenny reviewed: Beginner’s Soapmaking Workshop in Salisbury

"I did Catherine's soap making course and I thought it was really good. Catherine managed to pack so much information into the session, gave a good demonstration and provided us with lots of choice for recipes. Catherine was always on hand to guide us through each stage and answer our questions and was generous with the raw materials. We each managed to make two diffent batches of soap to take away with us, which was amazing. We also have the knowledge basis from which to have ago at home. Can't wait for my soaps to cure as I am really looking forward to trying them out."

June Aitken reviewed: Needle-felting course with FURZIE - Forge Mill Needle Museum, Redditch

"I attended this course and had a superb day learning a new craft. Michelle was a great teacher putting everyone at ease, at no time did I feel rushed or ignored. Michelle was there to answer any questions and step in if anyone got stuck on their next move. I would thoroughly recommend this course to everyone. The only downside is that I now have to find some room for my new craft supplies !"

Sue Heath reviewed: One inspiring day of mono printing from nature in artists studio near York

"The day was full of information and fun! I experienced several techniques, each of which was explained fully and accurately. During the morning, I was able to set up the plates and then after lunch, the real fun began, when I saw each plate come to life in a variety of colours. Each stage was demonstrated, whether it be how to prepare the paint and paper, or how to clean the plate to re-use it. I would thoroughly recommend this one day course, but you won't want it to stop there! I get the feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg, and there will be many more hours spent in exploring the endless, imaginative ways to put ideas on to paper."

Andrew Binnie reviewed: Carve a Rocking Horse Head Course

"A really satisfying course, executed at a steady pace, in a relaxed atmosphere. There was a perfect level of instruction, anecdotes and fun and we all learned a great deal. Having done a little woodcarving already, I still learned a lot and it was such a luxury to be able to have three days dedicated to carving, rather than finding the odd hour here and there. Those in our group who were new to carving also learned a lot and were not scared at all as Tony taught in such a positive manner. Thanks very much to Tony as I thoroughly enjoyed this course and might well be back for another."

Ruth A reviewed: Two day leather work course - bag making

"Brilliant course! Jason was so helpful, passionate about the subject and knowledgeable. It was great to come away with a handmade bag too. In two days we covered a huge range of techniques and it has given me a real interest in attempting some projects on my own. The workshop setting is lovely with loads of equipment and throughout it all Jason (and Louise) were so helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back. Great value for money too. Thanks a lot."

"I really enjoyed what was a fabulous day of learning, coached by an expert with a relaxed, natural and supportive style, all within an inspirational space... Hope House Press - Liz Weston - Cambridge reviewed: Capturing pretty Flat Lay photos - perfect for Instagram and Product Photography

"I attended this course with Lyndsey and really did learn so much from it. To make the most of it, I recommend you have a google of what flat lay photography is first, and get yourself and your props ready. I think you want to take a tripod and make sure you have a camera - not your iphone. I took just my iphone and did get some good images, but wish I'd had more confidence and taken my proper camera. I may well re do the course, to get some more help with taking photos using the camera and learn more about how to diffuse the light. I'll also take more of my own products so that I can make the most of the resources that Lyndsey brings - she really does bring tables full of things to use as props that I would never have originally looked at. And as an aside, the food was great! There was lots of food and it was very yummy indeed. So many options on drinks and snacks and cakes. It really did feel like our every need was catered for. Loved it."

Sue Chapman reviewed: Intermediary Glass fusing workshop with Laura Hart of Hart Glass

"Have just completed a 2 day fusing course, and wished I'd booked for 3 ! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and have learnt loads. Laura is a very patient individual whose calm manner helps quieten any nerves as she shows you how to refine your work. I have discovered the value of cold working which can only improve the quality of my work. Thanks again Laura. I would highly recommend this course as it gives you the flexability to try your own ideas with back up when needed with the guidance of Laura."

Katy Widdowson reviewed: Capturing pretty Flat Lay photos - perfect for Instagram and Product Photography

"This course was simply fantastic, I wonderful day spent with like minded people. It certainly didn't feel like work, it felt like therapy for the soul. Lyndsey is an inspiring tutor and I came away with so many ideas for using my flat lay photography skills. The whole atmosphere of the workshops was a breathe of fresh air, from the location to the food provided everything was just seamless. I could do with a day like that once a month to recharge my creative batteries."

Elaine hughes reviewed: One to one, One day, blacksmith course

"I attended the day with my partner and son. Alex could not have been more helpful or friendly. I was making a kinetic sculpture for my final project at college for which I obtained a distinction and Alex's help was invaluable. The setting for the course is beautiful ,we had a taste-vin lunch included in the cost overall we all had a brilliant day . My 20 year old son enjoyed it so much that he intends to go back and do a longer course. I would recommend this course to any one who wanted to try something different ."

Alison Evans reviewed: One day upholstery with Mick Sheridan in West Wales

"Had a great day feeling fully immersed and learning a completely new skill. Covering the stool was straightforward enough to be doable, but still a really satisfying process explained very clearly. I'm very proud of what I achieved. The location was beautiful and refreshments flowed freely all day: fresh pizza for lunch was delicious. A really well-organised, well-run course which has inspired me to try a bit more upholstering!"

Leah Lewis reviewed: Product Photography & Styling E-course for people who make & sell lovely things

"As someone who works in the craft industry, I honestly couldn't imagine a better photography course. It taught me not only how to use my camera properly and use lighting to my advantage, it also cleverly taught me how to think like a photographer. Since doing the course, I've been busy re-photographing all the products on our website. It's amazing to see how having better images really does boost sales! We've also had magazines approach us, asking to feature products or ranges in their magazines.......same products as we've sold for a long time.......just much better images seem to be raising the attention of the media. The course is fun, informative, inspirational and easy to do at your own pace. It took me a long time to decide whether or not to do the course. Now I wish I'd done it sooner."

Joanne Hopwood reviewed: Ceramic moon gazing hares

"I loved this course! The instructions were clear and easy to understand and I came away with a piece of art that I'm happy to display in my home. Linda has a lovely manner about her and is able to help the most incapable student (me!) make something to be proud of. I've since taken a class in glass fusing and found it equally satisfying :)"

Rosey Stride reviewed: Introduction to Frame Loom Weaving

"What a fabulous day to spend emerged being creative and learning a new craft. Fantastic teaching and warming enthusiasm on the history and future of weaving from Alice. She really is an ambassador for the craft and her workshops and own work are a clear representation that weaving can be as contemporary an art form as it is historical. Highly recommended for all ages, levels and those wanting to indulge in a new form of craft."

"I just loved the whole day. Very inspiring and great to spend a day among other designer makers all creating some amazing photographs under the excellent guidance of Lyndsey.
