Lynne Hartley reviewed: Introduction to silver jewellery making workshop with Diane Lee

"Just back from THE most amazing day here! On arrival we were in awe of the studio. It's a well stocked aladins cave and I felt like a kid in a sweet shop. There were five of us in the workshop, and we all hit it off straight away, with one another and Diane. Diane is a lovely, friendly and welcoming lady, with an amazing talent. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable in her craft, but she can teach those skills to a bunch of novices and ensure that they take home stunning pieces of their very own handcrafted metal work jewellery. Can't wait for more dates as I'm definitely booking a return visit!"

Rebecca Lloyd reviewed: Introduction to silver jewellery making workshop with Diane Lee

"Brilliant class - couldn't have asked for better! 4 of us in the class and by the end, we were laughing and joking like we'd know each other all our lives. It was such a lovely atmosphere :) I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to sawing/drilling (basically using anything that could potentially hurt me if things went awry!) but thanks to the support and expert guidance from Diane, by the end I was happily sawing and drilling away with the rest (and gazing lovingly at my new rings and earrings!) It was a fantastic day and I would honestly recommend it to anyone :) Thanks Diane, it was well worth the long trip ;D"

Kate Read reviewed: Product Photography & Styling E-course for people who make & sell lovely things

"I barely knew how to use my lovely camera before I did this course! It was amazing and so much fun. Everything was so well explained with great lessons so that nothing seemed too technical or overwhelming. Lyndsey is such a lovely teacher and gave so much help and feedback. I have a much better understanding of light now and how to manipulate it to create a lovely photo. I am so happy I did this course and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their photography skills."

Lesley reviewed: Glass Art - two day course in stained glass (traditional leaded or copper foil "Tiffany" technique)

"I have just completed a 2 day workshop for copper foiled stained glass. I had no experience whatsoever in glass work, but with Matts patience, guidance and encouragement, in a very relaxed atmosphere, I came home with a stained glass panel that I was proud of. I would recommend this course to beginners and improvers, and I shall be going back to try out another of the courses. Thanks Matt for a great couple of days."

Carly reviewed: Leather Mask Making

"I would highly recomend this course, firstly the setting was sooo beautiful. The instructors were so lovely and knowledgeable, I learned lots of skills including how to mould, cut and dye leather to make a mask I was really pleased with. I was also given worksheets and lots of advice on how I could easily repeat what I had learnt at home, and was able to buy all the tools and leather I needed too. Cant wait to do another course there again soon."

Ian Walton reviewed: Intermediate woodworking course

"I have just completed the Intermediate Woodworking Course, which was really excellent. I already had some woodworking and diy experience, but thanks to Ciarán's skilful teaching, patient guidance, and advice on related topics such as sharpening and tool selection, I feel I have made significant progress over the 10 weeks of the course. The small class size, together with the convivial atmosphere and Ciarán's knowledge of, and passion for, all things involving wood made the sessions thoroughly enjoyable. It is a fast paced course but that's part of the fun - total immersion which means that you will learn lots. I will watch out for more of Ciarán's courses and I have no hesitation recommending this one. A truly excellent course."

Sarah Barber reviewed: Introduction to Spoon Carving

"I have always wanted to whittle and after researching into what was on offer, I found Chris' course. What can I say - it was so great from start to finish. From the surroundings, to the lunch and afternoon tea and most importantly to Chris' instruction and guidance. Chris certainly knows his stuff and his love for the craft of woodworking certainly shines through and makes the day whizz past, and he gives you the enthusiasm to carry on and learn more about whittling and woodcraft. I would highly recommend this days course, and is great value for money for what you get. And I ended up with a spoon made by on own fair hand, of which I am extremely proud."

g.eylers reviewed: Candle making workshops

"We took a small group of year 7-8 students to learn the art of candle making. During the planning stages of this expedition Angharad had helpfully supplied us with advice and put together a comprehensive package. Angharad's warm welcome instantly created a relaxed atmosphere and children and adults learnt a great deal about the raw materials and production. It was a brilliant hands-on experience, which involved a lot of pouring, moulding and rolling of wax. The activities were short and varied and kept the children interested and involved. At the end, they had all produced three different candles to take home. We were all very proud of our handiwork! Angharad was calm, competent and friendly and our day out was a huge success. Children and staff alike had a fabulous time and we would highly recommend this workshop to young and old!"

Lizzy Chambers reviewed: Product Photography & Styling E-course for people who make & sell lovely things

"I have just completed the January 2016 course and it has been worth it. I had owned my own camera for over a year but didn't know with it, so I would only using my phone camera as it felt safe. Six months of support and neutering with Lyndsey in the chat room has brought me a long way. Her course covers everything from how to create your brand through your photos, knowing your customers, how to use your camera, build sets, shoot on location, using natural light and how to create expensive looking professional photos with easy home made equipment (except for the camera and tripod part!). I feel more confident in my photography and I'm planning and photographing my next photo-shoot myself!"

Juliette Scott reviewed: Product Photography & Styling E-course for people who make & sell lovely things

"I have just completed this truly amazing course. I signed up back in January and it has been such a pleasurable six months working through the tasks and assignments, reading the incredibly useful information, and watching the online tutorials. I had no idea that so much could be achieved with natural light and I loved learning all the 'tricks of the trade'. I am excited to put what I have learnt into practice. I felt that the course was good value for money as Lyndsay was so generous with sharing her knowledge. I am sad that the course is now over but utterly delighted to have worked through it."

Katherine Mardle reviewed: One day leather bag making workshop

"This course was excellent. I'd strongly recommend it if you want to have some fun and feel rewarded whilst making something with leather, which actually looks pretty good as a finished product (I was proud of mine, even though I've never done anything like this before). It would have been fun with a few friends too, and Rosanna was a great teacher and gave me extra help when I needed it."
