Sheila reviewed: ‘Winter dream ' wool painting face-to-face textile art course in Worcestershire

"I am so pleased to have found Magic Wool Studio where the artist Raya Brown teaches a range of skills and crafts. Raya is using her professionalism to guide you through different stages of creating an art work. I was particularly impressed by her knowledge of composition and colour scheme which she passes on to her students at workshops. I feel that I learnt so much within a 6 hour workshop. I am fascinated by wool painting technique and so happy with my wool picture. I'm going to attend more workshops especially felt making classes. I would recommend Raya's classes to anyone. They are suitable for absolute beginners as well as experienced artists."

Martin Rollin reviewed: 1 to 1 Bladesmithing or Blacksmithing

"This course was booked as a gift from my Wife. Blacksmithing is some thing I have wanted to try for a long time. The course didn't get off to a good start as we started an hour late with no explanation or information as to why, however once we started it was brilliant, Tim and his staff were helpful informative and really showed a passion for their trade. This showed in the demos and ease in which they gave help and advice throughout the day nothing was too much trouble and no question went unanswered. We more than made up for the late start at the end of the day. Thanks once again To Tim and his team for an excellent day I would certainly book on another one of his courses"

Tricia Douglas reviewed: Enamelling on copper

"We took this amazing day course as a part of my friend's birthday. It was such a good choice and so much fun! I flew in from Switzerland and was so happy I did. If only I lived closer, I believe the lovely Dylis would have turned me into an enamelist. Be it her welcoming and helpful personality, her precious dog Chloe or the excitement of watching your projects turn into beautiful but easy masterpieces, I would have certainly been a goner! Perhaps there will be another trip in my future! Thank you so much for a wonderful time! Happy enameling!"

"I chose Dilys's course from a list of ideas for my daughters 30th birthday, and what a great idea it was! I've told all my friends about it and I certainly hope to go back and do more."

Carole H. reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"I made a start on my new project: a pendant I’ve planned to be in gilding metal and silver. I had fun learning how to make an oval doming block in wood; that was for shaping the gilding metal. Lucy showed me how and produced a good set of woodworking tools for the purpose. Although it was February, and we could see the snow settled on the nearby Clwydian Hills, the workshop, with its new roof, was warm and well lit. Thanks Lucy for another wonderful day."

"Bill is a great teacher, encouraging, patient, knowledgable and willing to share. I came away wanting to learn more and really enjoyed having free reign make something that pleased my eye. I picked this course based on the reviews here and the drive from London was worth it. Thanks Bill. Kerry"

Ben Rawlinson reviewed: Steam-Bending Courses in Cumbria

"Im a professional furniture maker and was looking to expend my knowledge of woodworking with a course on steambending. Charlie's course was recommended to me by a fellow maker and as he is already a highly repected maker in hs field I knew I would be in good hands. The course was really well prepared and moved along at a good pace with a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm being put forward. In the three days we learned a lot of different bends and techniques which I have since put to good use in my own work! The setting and hosting was also top notch although we did get very lucky with the weather. I would really recommend a steambending experience at Charlies workshop.5"

Nick Stops reviewed: Introduction to Green Wood Furniture Making - 2 Day Course in South Devon

"I have had a little bit of wood work experience before but nothing with green wood. Peter was always helpful and patient with what must have been silly questions from me. I really enjoyed the weekend, it was one of the most rewarding ways to spend 2 days. I came away having had a whole load of fun and with a really nice product to show off to my friends. Most of all I find working with wood incredibly relaxing. 5 Stars."

Katy Phillips reviewed: Enamelling on copper

"A day with Dilys is a day to remember, from the moment she and the delightful Chloe greet you into their charming home to the moment you wrap up your creations to take home. The atmosphere and style of teaching are perfectly paced and simple enough for even the least creative of people to go away with professional peices you can be truely proud of. Thank you for sharing stories and laughs with us Dilys, I look forward to recommending my friends come and see you. And I'm sure we'll be back for those wedding favours!!!"

Kelly Satchell reviewed: Two day leather bag making workshop

"Brilliant day. Arrived feeling as though my chosen bag design might be a little ambitious but Rosanna helped me get stuck in quickly and we were making within the first hour! The time flew by so quickly. Rosanna is a great teacher with lots of patience - especially if you're a little indecisive like myself! It was a really inspiring experience and I'd be keen to go back to try out some different designs and techniques at a later date. Highly recommend!"
