Ellie reviewed: 'Art of Stained Glass' - Oldbury, Birmingham

"I took a 4 day course with Jamal to explore the stained glass and enamelling processes. Although I had some ideas for the type of piece I wanted to create, I had very little previous experience. Jamal was not only an expert in his field, he was patient and offered encouragement and support to help me carry out my ideas. Jamal is highly experienced and shared samples of his own work to give inspiration and insights into the medium. I would highly recommend a course with Jamal if you want to have an expert craftsman help you learn the stained glass process."

"Had a fabulous time leaning all the different techniques on my one day glass leading course. It was great to be able to go from choosing the design and then see it through to taking the finished product away. Jamal- thanks for being such a patient and helpful teacher! Would highly recommend to any fellow beginners, it was a day well-spent!"

Kerry reviewed: French Polishing & Woodcare - Beginners Course - 1 Day

"I attended a one day course with my husband and couldn’t have wished for a better Christmas present. I refurbished a small mirror and David a barley twist table. Ollie explained what we were to do and showed us exactly how to achieve the finish we wanted in his well equipped workshop. It was a brilliant day and has definitely laid the foundation for further projects. We hope to return for another course soon."

BumbleeBee reviewed: Indigo & Arashi Shibori workshop

"I had a brilliant afternoon learning all about indigo dye, it’s history and how to use it, and Japanese Shibori pattern dyeing. Lisa from Indigowares is a very enthusiastic teacher and we were encouraged to bring natural fabric such as bull denim, calico, cotton, linen or silk and it was amazing to see how it was transformed by dipping into the vat of indigo dye. Lisa would like to start an ‘Indigo club’ and I will definitely be going if she does."

Sally-Ann Hooper reviewed: Table Loom Weaving Workshop - Dobby & Rose

"My daughter, Joanna, and I spent a fabulous morning with Rebecca! It was Joanna's first experience with a loom, and she was hooked straight away! I hadn't woven for 34 years, so needed a gentle re-introduction. Rebecca was a warm, enthusiastic teacher, who worked at our pace, explaining clearly the basic processes, giving us lots of time to experiment with all the lovely colours and textures. We are thrilled with our sample cloths, and have come away with lots of ideas! Thoroughly recommend this course!"

Kim Adams reviewed: Glass Fusing & Slumping Weekend - 2 Days

"As a complete beginner I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend. Learning enough foundation skills to give me the confidence to have a go myself. Who knows where it will lead. I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of trying this creative skill out. I would also be interested in attending further courses nearing Christmas in the hope that my gifts this year would have the personel touch."

Gemma Richards reviewed: Candle making course (introductory) - in the heart of the Ashdown Forest, Sussex

"Had the most enjoyable morning candle making yesterday, my mum in law and I were incredibly lucky as there were some cancellations so we actually ended up having a one to one workshop. It was so informative but super fun too, loved learning about all the different techniques and ‘hand dipping’ was a highlight for sure. Would recommend the class to anyone and everyone, great to learn a new skill!"

Serefina reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"Great course, beautiful setting. Sebastian strikes a good mix between guiding you and encouraging you to challenge yourself and create something that you might not otherwise tackle. This was evident in how absolutely different the pieces were that we all created. It was a peaceful, relaxed weekend and we were lucky to have gorgeous weather too! Thanks, we will definitely be back xx"

Roz reviewed: Wet felted bowls, vessels and vases

"Thanks Kat! I really appreciated the small group, it helped bond the group and I don’t think anyone felt (sorry, pun not intended) left out. The venue was easy to find and a lovely work space. I appreciated the demonstration at each stage, and explanations as to why we were doing what we were doing. I enjoyed the chat and encouragement we received from you and each of the participants. I loved the end product. Who doesn’t enjoy learning a new skill and sense of achievement at the end of it?"
