Sally Kelly reviewed: Silver Clay Jewellery for Beginners at West Country Creative in Lifton, Devon

"Absolutely brilliant day! I had no previous experience of jewellery making but left at the end of the day with matching earrings and pendant. Jo guided me through taking an image from my daughters wedding invitation to completion of the pieces, including what to do when you break it!! No hesitation in recommending this course and Jo's kind and patient tuition, not to mention all the tea and biscuits! Thank you Jo, I will be back Xx"

West Country Creative Ltd responded:

"Thank you Sally - I hope the wedding goes well!"

"I attended the business course last week and it was really great. I wasn't sure what to expect but I left with so much information and knowledge. Today I lit one of the candles we made and it smells amazing! I have bought lots of the recommended supplies and made a few tester candles this weekend. I would highly recommend the course!"

Tim reviewed: Spoon carving for beginners - morning

"I was booked onto this course as a surprise by a relative and had no prior knowledge of wood carving but was hooked as soon as I got started. Stephen's a great teacher and his enthusiasm really rubbed of on the whole class. I'd recommend booking a long session so you've got time to get into the process properly. It's a great way to spend a few hours regardless of whether it's a one-off experience or you're going to make a habit of it. Give it a go!"

Liz Hannam reviewed: Needle felting - woodland creature or bird, or other small animal: (beginners+)

"I was lucky enough to have this course bought for me, what a lovely present! I had a wonderful day. Sally is a lovely tutor, so full of knowledge, encouragement and humour! We worked in a small group of people and were able to choose what we made. We all chose either a mole in a pot or a sleeping fox but I think if we all had chosen something different Sally would have taken it all in her stride. I made a fox which actually looks like a fox! I learnt a new skill and I’m definitely going to do more. I thoroughly recommend this course and I will be back for more, hopefully the wet felting later in the year!"

Sandra Cotton reviewed: Needle felting workshop - Create your own woodland creature

"Wow, what a wonderful day making Harold the hare! I didn’t realise what a fantastic day this would be. I must say I can’t remember the last time I used my hands to be creative, so I’m an absolute beginner at needle felting. Denise was very patient, methodical and attentive and I came away feeling proud of my attempt at the end of the day. What a whimsical setting the workshop is in too. Plenty of refreshments and generous amounts of delightful cakes!"

Crafty Gal responded:

"Thank you Sandra for such a lovely review - it was a fun day and your little hares was gorgeous, I particularly liked the white detail on his little cardigan, very original! I hope you go on to do more needle felting, Dx"

Barry Franklin reviewed: Table Loom Weaving Workshop - Dobby & Rose

"My wife and I had a super time with Rebecca, everything was well prepared for our basic's weaving session. Rebecca made us very welcome and quickly put us at ease. It did not takes us long to start producing interesting weaving (my pattern was a bit more obscure !) We are now keen to try out the loom we have and build on the very good instruction Rebecca gave, she made it so easy to follow. We would recommend having a look at the lamp shades Rebecca makes , they are superb. We are hoping to have 2 made to fit it exactly with our new lounge decor . Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone who fancies a try at weaving. B & G"

susan hodgson reviewed: Experimental Monoprinting (includes gelli printing)

"I spent the most enjoyable day with Ruth Blackford doing the experimental mono printing course, in a delightful garden studio. Everything was beautifully prepared for us. Ruth provided images, or you could use our own designs. She taught us a variety of ways to print, my favourite was using the tissue paper for chine colle. We had a delicious lunch, tea, coffee, and lemon drizzle cake. The day just flew by, and now I want to do the two day collograph course. Thank you Ruth, you are a very talented lady, and an excellent tutor."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my full day lampworking workshop with Suzanne. I had some limited experience of lampworking before and it was great to be able to build upon my previous knowledge and try lots of new techniques. Suzanne is a brilliant teacher, extremely knowledgable and very calm and patient. She was able to demonstrate whilst allowing me lots of time at the torch also. Suzanne was encouraging and reassuring during the day as well as giving praise and helpful suggestions too. Suzanne's workshop is lovely, bright and calm, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere. Michelle reviewed: One day introduction to glass fusing in Medway, Kent

"Beverley welcomes you into her home and studio to share her passion and creativity with fused glass. I booked a celebration Family event for four, after a brief intro, including safety we were onto practical hands on glass cutting before making our first piece a sun catcher. Throughout the day Beverley gave great instruction, encouragement and found everyone’s hidden talents including my own which is very absent. I can’t wait to see our finished pieces after fusing in the kiln and finding a place to display them at home. Don’t hesitate if you are booking to go on your own, you will be so pleased you went and you will have a great day. Learning glass fusing with Beverley is addictive, give it a go."

Beverley Bunn Glass Art responded:

"Aaaah thanks for such a lovely review Michelle :0) It was my pleasure to have you and your lovely family here for the day - your dad was the star of the show I think we can agree!! Or maybe you just didn't want to out-shine him on his birthday treat ;0) I think your niche is definitely in the area of 'fit' lol It's all looking great and the items needing slumping are back in the kiln right now so not long to wait!! You're welcome any time x Bev"
