Linda Bonner reviewed: Still life painting (inc Dutch style) at Stonehouse Studio

"This was brilliant fun. The arrangement of flowers at the end of the studio seemed like an impossible painting but with Karen's guidance and encouragement from the other painters I was very pleased with what I created. It was amazing to see the different paintings created on the day showing different styles of art. Sharing lunch outside in the peaceful countryside was the icing on the cake. I love this studio and can't wait to go back."

Matt Graham reviewed: Print and play evening workshops in Bristol

"Sophie put on an amazing workshop – she created a really fun, relaxed atmosphere that encouraged people to really get stuck in – and help each other. You really don't need to be 'artsy' to do this – you can create amazing pieces with just a few layers. The instructions are really clear, and you get into the action really quick. You get plenty of quality time with Sophie, and she helps you create some really great prints – we will be framing and hanging ours!"

Sarah Brown reviewed: Glass bottle cutting for beginners in Kent

"Had a really enjoyable Sunday afternoon on this course. Very clear instruction, plenty of equipment and tea and biscuits along the way. We made vases, tumblers, branded glasses and some smaller pots I'll use in my bathroom. They also provide the base to make a storm lamp for the garden. We opted to buy the glass cutting equipment so we can practise at home. If you do this they supply at a discounted rate from what you would get at traditional retail. Recommended to all!!"

Angela innes reviewed: Silver clay jewellery taster with Anna Campbell

"I attended the introductory course on Tuesday 20th August. I am not one for going to new things on my own and certainly not creative events like jewellery making, however, it was given to me as a gift so nervously I attended. The evening was amazing. So relaxed and comfortable. Lynn and Anna were very welcoming. There were lovely refreshments in a fabulous environment. The jewellery making was fun and I learnt loads. I also came home with some lovely pendants which friends and family are very impressed with. Thank you to both Lynn and Anna for a great experience and confidence booster."

The Arienas Collective responded:

"Hi Angela. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We're delighted that you overcame those nerves, and discovered that inner creative we knew was in there all along! It's amazing what you can achieve with the right help, support and encouragement and we're so happy that you enjoyed the experience and left with enough confidence to keep creating. You should be rightly proud of those fabulous pendants you made! Hope to welcome you back soon. Best wishes, Lynn x"

"A great course. Laura was very friendly and welcoming. We were shown techniques in the morning and were then given a variety of materials to use to produce our own painting in the afternoon. A great course especially for beginners if you want to explore themes and ideas through mixed media."

Carol Price reviewed: Glass fusing with artist Patricia Lee - as seen on BBC1 Home Is Where The Art Is

"I really love these courses with Patricia, I've been on a few now and every time I learn something new. I've been able to make some really beautiful items either for myself or as unique gifts for friends or family. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and also it's a fun day and at the end of it I can never quite believe I've been able to achieve something so good. The groups are a good size which means when I've had questions I've felt at ease to be able to ask them and there's a real sense of respect for each other as we learn. Patricia is an excellent teacher, she's very thoughtful, encouraging and I believe she really wants you to get the best out of your learning experience and day. Some tutors rush the group or gee everyone along at the same pace but people's abilities are all different and creatively we all discover things at our pace, I love her classes because she relates to how creatively different we can all be and celebrates that fact. Can't wait for the next one!"

"What a brilliant course, Patricia is friendly and welcoming and more than willing to pass on her knowledge and give practical help to her students. The day was packed with practical demonstrations and hands on tutoring and several pieces using the differing techniques were created by all attendees. Tea, coffee and a delicious lunch were included on the day and I absolutely loved the whole experience which gave me the opportunity to gain experience in a new craft. I will definitely be back to learn more."

It was a great day, we were taught key glass techniques whilst having a lot of fun - and delicious home cooked soups / cakes for lunch too. Definitely booking another day soon."

"Fabulous! I arrived not really knowing what glass fusing was...and left with a bowl that I love and makes me look far more talented than I am! Patricia creates a lovely atmosphere - whether your skill is design or, like me, you just enjoy 'doing' and being tucked away in a workshop for a change of pace...this course is spot on."

Karen Kime reviewed: Glass mosaic with artist Patricia Lee - as seen on BBC1 Home Is Where The Art Is

"Patricia is a great teacher. I attended the mosaics course and produced a a mosaic that I was really pleased with. The key things about Patricia's courses are that the materials she provides for you to use are really good quality; she explains things clearly and is very supportive as you work through the day; you have a finished product and the atmosphere is very positive but also fun. It sounds corny but this is really helped by the lovely hospitality - the lunch and refreshments are beautifully presented and tasty and make you feel very welcomed and comfortable. I would recommend these courses to anyone."

Ruth Holland reviewed: Beginner's Traditional Stained Glass 2 Day Course

"I spent a fantastic weekend with Gill Rogers learning about traditional stained glass techniques. The weekend was informative, relaxed and fun and I brought home a beautiful stained glass panel that I can proudly say 'I made' (with some help from Gill). I do though feel that I can have a go at home once I have bought some essential equipment; and can't wait to try out my new skills. Thank you Gill for a fabulous introduction and for giving me the confidence to have a go. Also I cannot recommend highly enough the fabulous gallery and cafe at Craft Renaissance for their hospitality and the beautiful works on show from various artists. A fantastic course in a beautiful and relaxing setting - 11/10!"
