Beginners Traditional Stained Glass 2 Day Course
Description
This 2 day beginners course will provide you with in depth knowledge and experience of stained glass techniques. The emphasis will be on practical work which will cover all aspects of both traditional lead and Tiffany copper foil techniques. Learn how to cut and grind glass, stretch lead and solder, choose from a selection of design templates and coloured glass to make your own stained glass panel to take home. Classes are held every week throughout the year and are available to book and attend on any 2 days between Monday to Saturday. All workshop classes have a maximum intake of 4 students to ensure you each receive lots of support and guidance to help you with your project.

Please feel free to wear any comfortable clothing and footwear, trainers, shoes, boots are all perfectly fine providing they don’t have open toes.
Yes you will definitely have a beautiful finished stained glass item to take home with you and also have the opportunity to solder and attach a chain or ring to ensure you can hang and display it. Sometimes the course may run slightly over so please allow a little extra time if possible to ensure you get to finish and complete your project.
All workshop courses have between 2 and a maximum of 4 students to ensure everyone gets lots of help, support and guidance with their projects.
All courses start at 10.30am and will finish around 5pm but please allow a little extra time if possible to ensure you have your beautiful finished project to take home.
We have a cafe/restaurant and farm shop onsite which offers a delicious choice of lunch time meals, all cooked to order from their menu including a choice of vegetarian and vegan meal options.
All ingredients are locally sourced from the nearby farms and all students will receive a 10% discount.
You’re also welcome to bring along your own packed lunch if you prefer.
Yes, all students will have the opportunity to choose from a selection of design templates and coloured glass to make a stained glass project. Choose from a beautiful selection of Cathedral coloured glass and design templates to construct and make a traditional leaded panel or a copper foil suncatcher.
No need to bring anything with you as all use of tools, materials and refreshments will be provided for you on the day.
