Tuition in setting up your solid body electric guitar.

Description

Hello, thanks for looking. I started learning to play the guitar in 1978. For my 13th birthday, in 1983, I received my first electric guitar, a Höhner stratocaster. It wasn't long 'till I was mucking around with the saddle heights on the bridge and adjusting the truss rod to make that strat clone have a low and fast action with a good intonation. There's been a fair few guitars in my possession since then, all set up by myself, but my last project was building an Ibanez RG HHH from parts bought from Ebay. I learned a lot during that build, but the interesting bit was setting it up, as the neck was brand new as was the tremelo: getting the tremelo springs, the truss rod tension and the bridge hight adjusted from freshly assembled whilst keeping it at concert pitch was revealing, to say the least. So, If you have a solid bodied electric guitar, and you'd like a seasoned opinion on how to set up your guitar to a performance standard, come and spend a few hours in my workshop, and we'll see what we can do.... Please copy this youtube link into your browser to hear me play my RG. This is all about setting up a guitar to a performance standard. So I'll be fluffing every take of this for the next three days : ) https://youtu.be/zkwUA-RkqnM Ok, to be fair, it's the second take. Recorded on my samsung phone. So initially, I make an assessment of your guitar. The neck, nut, bridge, frets, switchgear and electrics. Then I show you how to get the best out of it on a new set of strings, tuned to concert pitch, (A440Hz). Please get in contact prior to booking to let me know about your guitar and to check date availability, thank you.
