Description
Burnished orb clay workshop at the Self Centre BSE, Suffolk. Unwind & rewind using ancient hand building & burnishing techniques. You will make a sphere using the traditional pinch technique. You will take away your sculpture with a polishing stone, wait for it to partially dry and then burnish the surface to make it shiny. You will return your orb for kiln-firing whereby the surface will take on a shiny lustre without the use of a glaze! You will find this ancient technique both relaxing and meditative. This workshop is suitable for all abilities - no experience necessary.
