Powertex King Penguin sculpture - 3D fabric sculpted - Inky Escapades
Description
1st Day : In this Two session Fabric Sculpting Workshop I will lead you through the construction of the Penguin and then show you how to clothe the Penguin in various fabrics. Adding in details with Stone Art Clay Anyone with a reasonable degree of dexterity, can create this. no experience necessary 2nd Day : When the project is dry a few days later I will show you how to colour your project. The colouring is the wow factor there are many different colour options that you may choose from. This course runs with a minimum of two people and a maximum of four. Covid Safety measures in place. Powertex fabric sculpting, stone art and mixed media workshops available. Powertex is a water based, non-toxic and environmentally friendly universal medium. It is a liquid that transforms natural fabrics into 2D and 3D sculptures and is essentially a glue and paint combined. Most projects after three weeks drying time are weather resistant and can be displayed outside. This product can be messy so it is advisable to wear old clothes and remove any jewellery if possible. You will however be supplied with an apron and latex/powder free gloves along with all the materials that you need to create a very personal piece of art. You will create the project and once dry you will add the colour with varnish and pigment colours to watch the item transformed into a thing of beauty. Where possible I use recycled items and fabrics to help save our environment. Please be aware sometimes workshops finish later than the published times due to differing abilities. I will always allow time for a project to be completed. Most Workshops start at 10am.

- All materials, apron, gloves, Water - Beverage station supplied for you to help yourselves - You will need to provide your own lunch if applicable, depending on which workshops you attend. Only 4 places available on each course in my purpose built studio in my garden. Great tutor to student/attendee ratio with a very passionate certified tutor.

Inky Escapades is run by Karen Hewitt, Artist, & Certified Powertex tutor in Fabric Sculpting, Stone Art Clay, Mixed Media and 3D Flex. My Powertex workshops will give you a window into your own personal creativity. I will offer you the tools and instruction to create fabulous works of art; beware though as Powertex is a very addictive hobby and you may find yourself consumed by its magic. Most materials used are recycled. I offer small workshops for up to 4 people or 1 to 1 by arrangement.
