This class is the perfect blend of the fun of making a lampshade to spruce up your home, with the relaxing process of painting with watercolours under Ruth's gentle guidance. Everything you need is provided and you will be taken through each process step by step, ensuring you achieve a beautiful result. You will go home with a fabulous new lampshade for either a pendant or a table lamp. Our Studio is in a beautiful converted Oast with exposed beams and gentle views across the farmland.  Filled with mouth-watering aromas from The Oast Bakery, where Alison prepares our delicious refreshments, this is the perfect place to escape the pressures of daily life and enjoy some creative time for yourself.  Our aim is to offer the chance to unwind, learn a new skill and meet like minded people whilst enjoying a cuppa and a slice of cake. "Just took part in the lampshade making class with a group of friends, to celebrate a couple of our friend’s birthdays. I am a craft novice, my initial apprehension at whether 'I could do this' soon settled. The countryside setting is lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed, and everything was set up for us so well. Our 2 teachers Annabelle and Ruth were very friendly, they encouraged our creativity and guided us through the different stages very clearly. It was great fun. To top it all off, Alison had baked a delicious cake for us all at tea time. Was so impressed with everybody's finished shades. A really great experience whether you come individually or as a group!"
