Drum lampshade workshop - Saturdays

Description

We also provide upholstery and cushion making workshops. DRUM LAMPSHADE WORKSHOP (Saturday 9.30am - 1pm) Would you like to learn how to make a professionally finished drum lampshade for your home?, or perhaps you’re looking to start a lampshade business? This workshop will give you the skillset to make a drum lampshade to a professional standard. Everything is included apart from your fabric. You will be making a 30cm diameter lampshade, if you wish to make an alternative size, please let us know at the time of booking. Please note for larger sizes there may be an additional cost incurred.

"I had the most fabulous day learning the basics of upholstery with the wonderful Sarah who welcomed me into part of her home. This day was part of my birthday present bought for me by my wife and I can honestly say that the whole day was just perfect. Sarah is a brilliant teacher who demonstrated each part of the process in a comprehensive way to ensure that I had a complete understanding of what was required, she then let me try and replicate the process with gentle hints to assist me in getting the required result. At no point was I made to feel inadequate and I was delighted with my finished result and will definitely return for some more instruction but this time with my wife who is also keen to learn."

"This is a very great workshop if you’re interested in learning how to make a traditional lampshade. I have completed my first ever shade and I couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out. Prior to the workshop, I had zero sewing skills and never used a sewing machine before. Sarah was so patient and kindly taught me how to do both. I was a new student in the class, the rest were returning students which was a good sign. It was such a very pleasant weekend. I learnt so much. Time went past so quickly. Now I’m looking forward to doing more classes with Sarah. I couldn’t recommend this class enough. If you’re looking for a traditional lampshade making class. This is the one."
