Make a Felt Bowl at the Fold, afternoon session
Description
An afternoon session which will introduce you to working in 3-D with wool! Make a felt bowl or a more structured plant pot holder. You will learn how to lay soft merino fibres around a flat resist. Using soap and water you will agitate the fibres and with guidance will find out the correct time to remove the resist and continue working your 3-D bowl. Or you can mould into a pot shape to keep your plants cosy! You will be able to add stitching at home when your pot is dry or just admire it as it is! Suitable for beginners and those who have felted before. Please bring a large towel to work on and a waterproof bag to take damp work home in. You may wish to take part in the morning flat picture session too. You will receive a goody bag of wool and supplies if you book in for the two sessions! This class is run by textile artist, Penny, who has been felting for 18 years.
