Description

Develop your wet felt making skills with a dedicated weekend focusing on a variety of techniques to inform your future projects. Over the weekend you will learn the technique process, practice the technique(s) by making references samples, gain an understanding of how to design and incorprate the techniques into your future feltmaking projects. During the workshop you will; *Create at least 4 technique reference samplers *Discuss how to create, adapt & apply the techniques for future projects. Day One: Craters & Cracked Mud Day Two: Inlays, Inclusions & Layers. You are welcome to bring along yarns/fibres/fabrics you might like to incorporate into your felt samplers. This workshop takes place on Saturday 3rd & 4th May 2025, 10am - 4:00pm each day at Silversoles Studio. Can't Make the Dates? I'm happy to arrange a bespoke workshop for you / your group at a suitable date during the week or weekend. Please contact Emma to discuss available dates.

What's included in the price?

The materials and equipment are provided. Illustrated handouts notes are offered to enable you to continue to practice what you learn during the workshop. We suggest you bring along a camera / camera phone to help your record the your work during the workshop. Do I need to bring anything? You are welcome to bring along yarns, fibres and fabrics you might like to incorporate into your felt samples, but not essential as all fibres required are supplied. Should I wear specific types of clothing? Wear old clothes and comfortable footwear. If you have a plastic laminated apron do bring it along to protect your clothing. We do have a selection of fabric aprons for your use.
