Description
Join us for a fun afternoon making a drum lampshade to suit your own home decor! Anyone can do this, it's a brilliant way to spend time with old friends or come on your own and meet new ones! Small groups (max 6 people) - all tools and equipment will be provided, but please do bring your own 70x30 cms fabric if you would like to. Light refreshments including a glass of wine will also be provided so please mention any allergies beforehand. At the initial workshop we will be making a 20cms drum lampshade, however any students wishing to come to a second workshop can branch out and experiment with different sizes, shapes and designs! If you would like to recycle or repair an old lampshade this can be planned for a second workshop too.

Just yourself as I will have everything you need to create a 20 cms drum lampshade for you to take home! However the majority of students do bring a length of their own fabric to match their own colour scheme. This needs to be approximately 70x25 cms
We don't provide parking on-site but the Station Car Park is just a short walk away

Absolutely! You don't need to have any particular skills to do this - anyway, everyone is creative!
Access to the "Make Space" workshop at "Stone Paper Scissors" is up a couple of steps and may be unsuitable for some people with mobility problems. Once inside, there are stolls to sit on but some of the work would be done standing up.

Once you have been to the initial workshop, then yes! You might like to create an embroidered panel or paint your own design, we can discuss at the initial workshop.
Once you have come along to an initial workshop where we will all be making a 20cms drum shade, then yes! We will discuss your ideas at the first workshop and go from there.
