Description
Learn the basics of home brewing by doing it in a guided practical session with Andrew, Beer Sommelier and holder of Certificate in Beer, the Science of Brewing with KU Leuven, Belgium and BIIAB Level 2 Award in Beer and Cellar Quality. Also pick up tips on how to take up the hobby, where to get recipes and how to adjust things to get better and how to tweak the brew to suit your personal taste preferences. Brewing takes a whole day: preparing your equipment and ingredients, then going through the brewing steps to end up with your beer in the fermenter, followed by cleaning up the equipment. Fermentation takes (up to) two weeks and if you want, you can come back to share in the bottling process, or just have your 12 bottles posted to you. A week after bottling, your beer has conditioned ready for drinking. We can also talk about the alternatives to bottle conditioning, using casks or pressurised kegs and coolers, during the brew day or bottling 1/2 day.
